After watching this fight I don't understand why he didn't have much KOs in his professinal carrer. He showed sharp and hard punches in this performance.

Him on a recent video saying he was firm but fair 😂 he should have been disqualified for doing the same to Sugar Ray. Roy Jones lost in the same was quite rightly. It’s boxing not MMA.

This was the first in a series of fights in a Tournament. I think it was called North American Boxing Championship, it came on the heels of that scam Don King/ABC Network /Ring Magazine garbage tournament. It had great matchups, the fights aired 11pm on Saturday nights, sadly halfway into it checks started bouncing & it was halted. Vito Antuofermo vs Eugene ( Cyclone ) Hart was co-main event on this card, it was non stop action all the way.

Toney was pretty polished even this early on. He was a fighter out of his era, the way he uses the left shoulder crouch.

It was not the right decision. Terry did try to hit the man when he was down but if you look at the reply you will see that he missed.

Qawi was a sadistic dog and an incredible technician inside the squared circle, he was like his nickname suggests' a Buzzsaw. The man would grind you down with great bodywork and overhands coupled with one of the greatest range finders in light heavyweight history in his jab. He had tireless stamina and a terrifying work rate, he would get you hurt or tired and then he would smile like a sharks grin painted on a dive-bomber. Truly a great great fighter and an incredible boxer.
