What is with "copy and paste" of USA terminology? "Soft landing"......wara-wara. In 2007/2009 Bernanke's quantitative easing (QE) entered the financial lexicon. The last few months have been about "soft landing", Japanese "carry trade" and "the big rotation" from tech to small caps. Whatever! But why the "copy and paste" of USA buzz words?

Over recent weeks , I have been surprised at how few of my countrymen are even aware of how much "the markets" effect their lives . This is from conversations on X where many people are very dismissive of "the markets". I realy think the SA Government should encourage "buy in" from their electorate on these issues .

The question is how do we balance the high interest rate vs keeping the small and medium enterprises afloat. SA is currently not facing inflation due to high demand for goods by consumers but rather poor governance.
