Relying on outside help perpetuates a cycle of dependency that undermines the continent's autonomy and stalls meaningful progress. True independence cannot be achieved when the solutions to African problems are dictated by external interests whose primary motivations are often self-serving. The continent is rich with knowledge, talent, and resources, and these must be harnessed to create sustainable, homegrown solutions. African experts understand the nuances of the issues faced by their communities and are better equipped to craft culturally relevant and effective interventions. When we look inward and trust our own abilities, we not only strengthen local capacity but also foster a sense of ownership and pride in the progress we achieve. Breaking the cycle of dependency requires a shift in mindset from one that views external help as the default solution to one that prioritizes investment in African innovation, institutions, and governance. By empowering local expertise, we can challenge the narrative that Africa is perpetually reliant on others and instead demonstrate that the continent is capable of charting its own path toward development. The time has come to reclaim agency over our future. Trusting our local expertise is not just an option; it is a necessity for breaking free from exploitative cycles and realizing the full potential of a truly independent Africa.

Our daughter attended Calvin. By the time she graduated fours later in 2019, she was completely woke, rejected christianity, learned how to party, abandoned christian morals, still had no direction in her life, doesn't believe in absolute truth, or righteousness. Her mind was clearer before she attended this godless institution. Ask some students how Calvin has helped their faith to grow. They don't do anything. That's not part of their mission. Their professors never discuss their faith with their students. Most of the students are not Christian.

Excellent, excellent lecture! I do have to disagree that Calvin, in fact, did have relations with Jews and conversos. There is great evidence that he was himself of Jewish heritage. Study the history of the Huguenots and the Jews. Calvin provided an Avenue of Christianity, other than Catholicism, for Jews who’d been expelled from Spain. And although the Huguenots were greatly persecuted, in that day the message of Calvin would have been more palatable for those who had been expelled for rejecting Catholicism.
