OK, first, I absolutely loved the music here. But whoever filmed this (I'm talking about those horrifically lame close-ups of Kantorow) should never be allowed near a camera again!!!

Why is the cello playster not in the front with the violonists? She is amazing, if the violonists are the flowers of the tree, she is roots and trunk, nothing existing withour her. Respect!!

Parmi les vertus du jeu de Kantorow se trouvent l'énergie et la couleur. Il est exposé à sa manière sous un vaste soleil. Il est intense, vibrant dans sa lecture du concerto pour piano numéro 5 de Saint-Saens. Il fait preuve d'une élégance souveraine avec un toucher des plus ardent,voir fauviste. Il possède une sûreté et un équilibre qui nous font découvrir toutes les beautés de cette œuvre. Encore bravo à vous. Mille mercis !

Здесь хорошо видна разница в школах классической виолончели, русской и европейской. Даже в посадке виолончелистов. Отсюда и разница в звуке, и много чего ещё. А в целом исполнение прекрасное! БРАВО!!!

Very fine interpretation, but the conductor's exaggerated movements and twitches are not appropriate and simply come across as somewhat ridiculous.
