Great job of having almost everything useful off screen. 🙄

I would add as a basic error : not holding the threads back when stitching and the. Causing a bobbin tangle On my reliable 200zw this is avoided by starting with the take up arm all the way up or holding the thread back I’m not sure on the juki.
@deoara123 сағат бұрын
What the heck! Its like you just started in the middle of the threading process. For newbies to this machine, start at the beginning with each cone and what thread path to take.

I have an old 555 and I used to see oil under the hook area in the tray too but I don’t see any there anymore. And I think it is dry on head where I used to even see a drip on needle once in a while. Don’t any longer. How do I get oil to go there again??

Love how slow this can sew. I have a new Juki 1181n with a J7R motor and needle positioner but even at its slowest speed setting of 2 it still takes off too quickly for me and just doesn’t allow me to go any slower… help?? Is it possible to make it go as slow as this one you are showing?

never assume that the engineer misjudge the design of mechanical parts when you are assembling.... if something is difficult to fit, trust me your doing it WRONG!!! ....why are you comfortable with that position sensor wobbling like that?? surely you wouldnt drive you car with wheels like that. ...reason for that wobble is theres tension on the shaft that the senor is directly mounted on, hence its not staying flush when mounting, so loose the screw/nut, affix the sensor to head unit pulley test and various calibration and then tighten up. Another thing to note, those nuts can be remove completely then the screw place through the the slot of shaft after the shaft is connected to the sensor, that way you be able to rotate at an angle to attache the slotted shaft into the sensor..... dont force any assembly again, pause to figure it out first.

Thanks, Steve. These vids are helpful. QUESTION: I can’t pull the Knee Lift Lever out, so can’t tip machine head back for maintenance. It use to pull out but has always required strength. Tried jiggling, even rocking the head slightly while pulling. Nope. Please help. Thank you.

Can you sew and wind a bobbin at the same time with two thread spools? I saw that somewhere and wondered if all machines with a winder like this can do this
@StringDriver6 күн бұрын
Yes. Thats the benefit of the bobbin winder. And why there is a two-spool holder. Saves a ton of time. The bobbin winds at the speed of the machine, not at the stitch-count you’re currently sewing. 👍🏻

Hi Steve. Do you have a video or explanation why we can’t remove the Knee Lever on our Juki 1541s? It use to slide out - wasn’t easy to pull out but I could do it. I need to tip the body back to check the oil pan and can’t bc the knee lever refuses to budge. We tried slightly jiggling and pulling and also tried lifting the head a smidge and jiggle/pull. Nothing. It won’t budge. Please help. Thank you.

Personally, I keep multiple bobbin cases for different weights of thread for my various machines. They are inexpensive compared to the time it takes me to get my tensions balanced. I keep them in their boxes and mark the boxes. I also have a cobalt scribe that I will use to scratch the thread-weight into the bobbin case. Solving ONE of the tension situations (the top) when changing thread-weight is easier than monkeying with both… in my opinion and experience. Bobbin cases are less than $10 (after market) and it’s just how my brain works. Your mileage may vary. I use V92, primarily, and sometimes will topstitch with Mara 30… and sometimes will use Tera… (much thinner)sometimes… mostly I use V92, but if you do use multiple thread-weights (which you will find gets very expensive to have similar colors), pick up a couple extra bobbin cases and give the idea a whirl.
