Thanks for the comment! The car literally wasn’t drivable before the battery replacement so it had to be done. The extra gas mileage was just a bonus

Thanks for watching man! I have an LS2 Thunder Carbon and love it. I’ve had good luck with HJC helmets too. I’d recommend something FIM certified (which the LS2 is) if you’re willing to pony up the money. They’re super safe, that’s the standard that MotoGP uses!

I haven’t quit yet! There’s just no racing out in Colorado this time of year and couldn’t make the drive for any CMRA rounds for various reasons. But stay tuned for more videos this year!

Little update here, the battery replacement was for sure worth it in my opinion! It was $1500 all said and done and comes with the lifetime warranty. My gas mileage improved about 5 MPG on average (roughly 40 before and 45 after). I only owned the car about 6 months after making this video but up until the time I sold it the battery was working perfectly fine and I haven’t heard anything contrary from the new owners!

The traction battery does not make any difference in the zero to 60. It is not driving the wheels. The only improvement should be in the mph. If you reset the average mph to zero, it will show the better mph that the new battery will provide. The important thing is; how much the new battery , and the installation cost, and is it worth it!

It actually does impact the 0-60. The traction battery and electric motors assist the ICE so the car is noticeably slower when the traction battery is depleted and vice versa. But the battery replacement was 100% worth it in my opinion!

Not true!! Trac battery DOES affect acceleration...no debate....it provides the initial torque boost before the gas engine even kicks on.....when my battery crapped out, the car had Very little torque at all, it would jolt like a bad shift, then it would suddenly drive like normal.

Thank you, it was great! I probably won’t do a crash compilation, I didn’t crash at all and it doesn’t feel right putting other peoples crashes in videos so for that reason I probably won’t. But there are a few of them that happened in the full races during the season

I'm pretty happy with it. I'm running 15/45 right now. Beginning of the season I had 15/43 and I think I like that better but there's not a huge difference. I just like the extra roll speed of the smaller rear sprocket.

Yeah true story! There were a few nasty crashes the weekend but everyone in my races was more or less okay. And no fires thankfully. It looked like a bit of a mess at ECR 😬

My one piece of advise is to be careful through the last turn, coming onto the front straight. That rubber surface is really slippery. Apart from that it's a great track!

I'm a full-time Lyft driver and I just recently had to have the battery replaced in my 2012. Prius v, I called green bean battery as well. Unfortunately I don't drive a consistent route every day and even before the battery went out even before I put 200,000 plus miles on the car myself before the battery went out. I just did not notice that I would get consistent fuel economy and I can't really tell the difference in power from having the green bean battery installed versus my original battery 40,000 mi ago. Even myself personally, I found that for my car my Gen 3 it was 1644 for the battery and then the lifetime warranty was another $275 bucks. There's two warranty options. There is the 3-year unlimited mileage warranty or the lifetime unlimited mileage warranty plus, if you're 12 volt battery hasn't been replaced recently, they'll replace it for you and they replace it for you at a wholesale cost. It was $250 to replace my 12 volt battery and now if I were to go to AutoZone O'Reilly or any of those other places to buy the one for my Prius it would be $250 they did encourage me to get a new 12 volt battery so that way I would not have any warranty issues with the hybrid battery. That being said, the initial hybrid battery they installed had a bad battery control module so it did not play nice with the car. They came out within 8 days of putting the first battery in and swapped it out for a second battery as a warranty job and then I haven't had any issues with the car since.

They did for sure! I think it's a combination of me having a bone stock motor, not getting as good of drive out of t3, and them drafting behind me. The draft is super powerful if you can tuck in behind someone since it's such a long straight.

It's set to be the temperature gauge now. I'm not sure how the previous owner did that but that's how it set up. One of the numbers is the current temperature and the other is either a rolling average or a maximum. I haven't really figured that out yet but that's what it looks like to me
