I have a kurzweil PC 3 keyboard that frankly still amazes me with just what it can do. I took the opertunity to join Kurzweil tower, a programme for computer changes to sounds, can you please advise if there is a hand book that is available for this programm as i find i do need a guide to make the best of this programme. I really do like to new 2700 but it a bit out of my price range right now despite my huge interest in it. To date, i can find nothing that i can say comes any where near as good as this product, having been playing for xseventy years( now 79 years old and still playing) I would be most gratefull for any help you can offer many thanks for so many years of enjoyment fifteen years of which i spent teaching music and this over time allowed me to have a reasonable music room.

Since they've closed their forum, here it is : Dreamtonics should first fix NUMEROUS bugs instead of lauching new stuff like vocoflex. Item ARA mode does not properly work in Studio One, constant crashes with VSTI3 either. VSTI3 as instrument always tries to steal the focus of the audio interface instead directing his audio through the host, crashes when undoing and modifying pitch curves, no sandboxing, no freezing, no polyphony except if you open new tracks inside Synthetizer-V leading to more lags, poor shortcuts implementation (no click and drag to copy, no lasso...), snapping is more than clunky and imprecise when not focusing deeply, pitch automation does not follow items when copying them inside the instrument version, no eq, numerous losses of data - was obliged to start again from scratch many times, metronome does not work !!!...who the hell beta-tested this one ? Needs loads of repairs until we can properly work with it.

I trust you're referring to the Atlanta NAMM Show where MIDI was introduced as I was there. I met Stevie Wonder there and even helped him fight with setting up a PPG Wave Synth/Workstation as it was very difficult for him to manage. He was an incredible man and Herbie Hancock was there as well trying to play some machine that was Alpha mode at best. Mr. Wonder was intelligent, kind and vey, very funny. For some reason I'm thinking this was 1982 vs 1983 as you stated but many years have passed so I'm probably wrong. Backing up, the user manual needs help. More images explaining the use of external MIDI inputs being one.

Sounds bad tho .. why can't they get synth to actually sound like a sax?
@camelCased7 күн бұрын
Physics. You need a powerful computer and complicated algorithms to simulate a physical instrument reliably with all the tiny details. And also very responsive sensors. But I doubt there will ever be a sensor for lip embouchure.
@marcuscorneliusaurelius65347 күн бұрын
@@camelCased That makes sense. I am always so hopeful when a new sunth thing comes out, but it is always disappointing for the sax. They can do a flute or grand piano fairly well, but a sax always sounds like Zelda music

Maybe I'm crazy, but I would love to see the K2X series virtualized in software. Especially the earlier/legacy models. Surely we have enough CPU horsepower nowadays to handle this beast?

My 8-year-old and I can attest to the robustness of the K2700 and how it can plummet to the floor, fly off the stand, be whacked with a baseball bat… OMG 😅 and still keep tickin’! In other news, one of my favourite unexpected features of the K2700 is the keybed and how it feels so natural working with _every_ sound! I didn’t think I would enjoy doing primarily orchestral arrangements for theatre on a weighted keybed but it actually really works and doesn’t feel weird! When I’m _really_ playing piano (and assuming I’m not on a real piano!) I have a favourite alternate keybed I prefer, but even there I certainly don’t mind practicing with the aforementioned 8-y-o on the Kurzweil. And, for a synth, it’s got not only the best piano sounds out there but about the best sounds for any category out there!

He should’ve hooked it up to a computer vst instrument. Or external synth.

I wonder how the Dan sitar reissues compare with the Jerry Jones models that came along after Coral ceased production?
@slimturnpike3 ай бұрын
I also wonder. I play a Jerry Jones Baby Sitar, same model Ronnie Wood currently plays with the Stones. I've had it for 25 years, and it has held up well. It's tricky keeping the necks right on these because the buzz bridge is really sensitive to minor adjustments. For the last six years I've used it with a Stones tribute band but before that, mostly recording. I'd like to try one of the Dans.

Danelectro are by far the most underrated guitars. Currently, I have 38 or so guitars, 5 are danos. Every time I plug one in, I can't believe how good they sound and how favorably they compare with all the other big name guitars I own... Hands down, the best value. Also, my longhorn baritone rings more than any guitar I have ever played!!!

I have this MIDI controller in a 25 key vision. I would love to see this software to do this in Logic Pro. When I first purchased this MIDI board, it was kind of complicated to understand. I can say that the USB connects and the software instruments work very well in Logic ProX. . SO it will be very interesting to see if this works and how well. Everyone wants a solution that allows you to edit and select features faster. So again, I want to see what works and what's just another toy to waste time.
