Thank you ❤ 🧛 What a lovely surprise for this video to pop up on the home page. I had to click when I saw Josette and Angelique in Martinique!! Yes, two beautiful ladies with a lot in common and real life friends. Miss you Lara Parker!

Lara Parker hated police. In her book The Salem Branch she makes cops out to be goons denying people constitutional rights of assembly!

Lara's novel "Angelique's Descent" provides a good insight as to how Barnabas and Angelique already knew each other by way of an affair while Barnabas was visiting the island. That is where he fell in love with Josette, and the social rules of the day would not have allowed someone of his ranking to marry a servant girl like Angelique. This story parallels one of the Dark Shadows novellas written over 50 years ago by Marion Ross called "The Curse of Collinwood". The Collins family had a long history with Martinique, as Derek Collins brought shame on them in the 19th century by becoming active in the slave trade. His wife Esther, infuriated over this, killed him and then herself. Esther had been involved in voodoo practices with the natives, and arranged for her and Derek to become reanimated as zombies should a ray of sunlight pass over their coffins. They were buried in a mausoleum on the family estate in Maine and did become reanimated, pitting them against none other than Victoria Winters and Burke Devlin!

I was there in "82 for their Farewell tour final show.. What I remember most was the bicep muscles of Kenny Jones on the drum kit. His forearms and biceps were like the "Hulk" and he hit those skins like no one other drummer I have seen since. Of course being from Toronto, Neil Peart was my favorite and still is, But Jones that night was a reincarnation of Keith Moon and I guess that is why he toured with them in 1982. Bloody 40 yrs ago and they are still right on top of it.

And there still going after how many years, I'd like to see, hear, and know of band's who have been going since the 60s that have lasted as long and are still going today, I was born in the 50s in the Erro of the Beatle, the Floyd, Purple, Cream, Zeppelin, and others, pity none of the band's today are as goog.

I saw them later that month at Bethel Woods Center for The Arts, right near where the original Woodstock took place in Upstate New York. Pete's first words on stage: "It's freezing!!" (And it was!)

It’s hilarious that HALF of The Who that’s pushing 80 freaking years old is better than any young band in their prime today.

Great edge on both of them and Zach represents incredibly well. They bombed out twice on me in Houston. It was heartbreaking to be on the front row and watch Roger walk off and leave. Pete came out and said they couldn’t go on. Then they were supposed to come back and play. They cancelled that one as well. I’ve been burned at some big shows. At least 3 with the Stones. Twice we were in the arena in the front row. You can’t imagine how that feels. Once we flew to another country and waited all day to get our $1000 pit seats, and they cancelled.
@NannetteMcCormick Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I can imagine how that feels... Am in the USA and had front row center tickets for Toronto and the show was cancelled the very next day! Then it was rescheduled for a time that I could not attend. It's very disappointing but happens sometimes.

I still don't understand how two stone deaf dudes can still make such great music-- they must rely on muscle memory.
