Typical Hammerli quirk. I have the mechanical trigger 150 variant. Using the seperate cocking lever, feels like you are on the verge of snapping it off clean. Odd.

Good to know. As a note, there was nothing else done prior to making this video, including depressurizing the fuel line. I'm not saying it's not needed, but the several times we've done this, there was zero fuel spray anywhere. YMMV.

The way to depressurization on the fuel rail is to remove the “fuel pump fuse” and let the engine just die out.

the sistem is depressurize because part of the job of the PR is to let the fuel go back to the tank when is no longer need it trough the return line (the smaller diameter 1) ther for no pressure is in the fuel reils but there is gas still otho not pressurized

My Name Is Larry, I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado, It Has a 5.3 with a after market supercharger. I notice I was having trouble with the truck starting when it cold or sits for several hours. bump the key once then do a full cycle start the truck starts right up. So I replace the fuel pressure regulator and that didn't solve the problem, because I have a fuel pressure gauge in line on the fuel rail and I notice that when the car is running the pressure is at 55 psi. when I turn the truck off the pressure drops under gauge quicker than it should and when I turn the key to the on position you can here the fuel pump working but you also can watch the gauge on the fuel pressure rail you can watch the pressure leak down with the key in the on position. Can anyone help me figure out why the fuel pressure leak down after I replaced the fuel pressure regulator. (note; I also replaced the fuel pump and I still have this problem. [email protected]

I have a question regarding thios because I have the 2004 4.8 Liter Chevy Tahoe. I am getting the fuel smell with the vehicle running. My issue is the 20094 and later don't have a regulator by the fuel rail. I thought it was my vehicle so I checked my Haynes manual and it said with 2004 and later to drop the fuel tank. Is there a regulator in the fuel tank or do I measure the pressure at the rail on the Schrader valve on the passenger side and if jumpy or high or low do I replace the furl pump? Do I need to check the injectors, check electrical for the injectors or what's the procedure? I'd like to get this fixed as I'm worried that unburned fuel could be dumping into the engine and possibly be causing further engine damage or am I fine in that area? ANy help would be greatly appreciated as we have snow coming and this is our 4wd dad taxi for the kids and wife in snowy weather. Thanks!

+Dale N Hi Dale. Sorry I can't be of much help here as I don't much on that year/model. But I've read that the FPR is located in the fuel sender/pump assembly, in the tank and not on the rail (for 4.8 Tahoes of that year). You'll need to do some searching online or take it to a mechanic. Good luck.
@dtnel
@dtnel 9 жыл бұрын
We replaced the pump a few weeks ago. The metal line that the plastic hooks to coming out of the fuel tank was rusted thru. A word of advice to those who may have to drop the tank living in salt belt northern half of U.S. make sure local dealer has fuel tank straps on hand just in case you need on. The bolts were just spinning when trying to remove strap due to u clips breaking at both straps. We were able to get a wrench in the frame rail just over the bolt mount to the u clip but the front strap had to be cut where it attaches on the inside near driveshaft. Keep in mind flame sources are not suitable if the fuel pump has a leak coming out of the top pressure line coming out of the tank which seemed like a galvanized metal or similar. Salt and crud gets up there while driving salt roads and no matter the time of year it just eats away at the metal fuel supply line. We used a pneumatic air saw with a metal blade so it didn't create a spark. Had I did this in my garage it would've taken considerable more time. I have a friend who works in a semi truck dealership shop so we did it on a Sat morning when he was off work. Having all the extra shop tools came in really handy. Instead of pressure washing the gas tank out on the inside and having to dry it all we used a siphon to remove any old fuel and debris that may have went in there. It took about 40 min to put a new pump in and reinstall the tank once we had initially got it removed. Runs like a champ now once again.

+Gino Armijillo I'm no expert on this, but I believe for the L59 engine (for 2005 Yukons) there's no regulator on the rail and is probably located in the fuel sender/pump assembly. For the 5.3 liter engine, you may want to check on the upper driver's side portion of the engine, directly below the plastic intake manifold shroud. Chevy Fuel Injector Rail, (LM7/5.3T, LR4/4.8V, LQ4/6.0U) Number #9 is the FPR. www.gmpartseast.com/diagrams/large/56C/2-fuel-injector-rail-tc0350401.png GMC 2005-2006 CK, Fuel Injector Rail, (LR4/4.8V, LM7/5.3T, LQ4/6.0U, LQ9/6.0N, L33/5.3B, L59/5.3Z, Except KL6, KL8) ...no FPR on the fuel rails. www.gmpartseast.com/diagrams/large/56C/fuel-injector-rail-tx03026102.png
