you can achieve oval links by wrapping the wire around two smaller rods rather than one large one.. it has to be done by hand though usually.

Notes on the process: Those links are a bit loose, not as loose as the ones on the rope bracelet where you can barely tell that it's a rope but still. Also putting a box lock on a rope chain!?? It's a round link, should have been a barrel lock. At least you used some good music for the video, unlike most jewelry videos that use generic elevator crap music.

If you can use a lazer machine to solder its best to do it in two places if you have to hammer it it’s just enough to make it hard I test it as I go

I finally found the clue of my question that I was looking for on a lot of video’s of people making chain bracelets. But I still got a question ; I never see anybody filing or sanding the chains after soldering right before twisting it. So I wondered … I see it’s not necessary in your video so I assume that you have to use a little as possible of “solder” to fill the gap and on what position you want to have the soldered seams?
