Planning to do this with few other families with young kids but my question is are they restrooms nearby on this trail
@venturefull3 күн бұрын
There are portable toilets at the bridge, but they’re a bit gross. About a mile before, there is Oaks Picnic Area which has restrooms
@twoshay79955 күн бұрын
Went there today. Bad luck for us and others. Our car and others was broken into. So be careful not to leave anything in your car. Especially a car keys.

That’s horrible, we’re so sorry that happened.

I went there today, sadly lots of trash, people with loud speakers, some even had fires 😡 not cool
@venturefull3 күн бұрын
Yeah, the trash is unfortunate. And yeah, when we went, there were people blasting music on speakers too, super annoying. It’s why we hiked further in to get some peace and quiet.

How much time does it take to explore it all?

It usually takes us about 2-3 hours

We just went yesterday, brought our bag to clean up others' trash. The other PSA needed is DO NOT PARK ON THE SINGLE LANE BRIDGE, but I doubt that will be followed without LAPD presence.

My mom was baptized here. I've been to the Glass Church many times, it was one of my favorite places to visit growing up. I'm grateful for all those memories and I hope to visit again at a new location someday.

Would you mind sharing what cruise you took at Seward? Just the name and how long was the tour?
@venturefull26 күн бұрын
There are multiple cruises that do essentially the same thing, but we went with Major Marine Tours - majormarine.com/ . It was about a 6 hour cruise, which included lunch.

Is there camping allowed or camp grounds near?
@venturefullАй бұрын
There are campsites on different parts of the river. The closest one to where this video is probably National Camp, and then Camp Williams

Thank you gor sharing. I cannot go hiking as I once did. My right knee would not allow it. You brought back some really fun and peaceful memories. I especially loved you mentioning to bring extra trash bags to pick up some of the trash. May you and your family have many more adventures!

I’m told you need to make reservations. It doesn’t look too packed which makes me feel hopeful
@venturefullАй бұрын
Yes, because it’s gotten so popular and crowded in recent years, you have to make reservations, which helps keep it from being too crowded
@needsmorecowbell1758Ай бұрын
What apps or websites do you use for knowing the trails etc

There are a few grassy areas that get a little bit of shade, but they get taken up pretty quickly. It’s often crowded with people saving their spot with towels.
