Totally boring car to drive and had no love for it whatsoever. Nearly as boring as my pulsar gtir was... it wasn't a very clean car, paint was rubbish etc so I got more for it in parts than as a whole

@@cherryred6804 maybe in your country , but not here. Here it was just a crap shell with front cross member rot. I broke the car for parts and got 3 times what it would of sold for as a whole, I have no regrets .

Arches were cut and sealed two inch higher and inner and outer rear pockets remade before they were covered by the kit

I completed the s13 Vlsd conversion but then ended up fitting a double output converted larger s14a Vlsd

The s14a has a 30 spline instead of s12 s13 s14 early 29 spline. I'm just waiting for another inner s14 cv to arrive and then I will make up a left shaft. I have 2 choices. Either grind the cv stopper off and slide the spiders inward both ends 15mm and weld or buy a custom shaft from drive shafts UK Ltd for £200 . It's worth it though as it's a low miliage healthy diff. For road use they are great. It's not a drift car :)

@@XPUKKAX I’ve swopped in the pumpkin to an r200 to check fitment without the ring gear using the shims that came with it. It spins freely but the shafts got me. Yes definitely I’ll be up for some help when you can dude. Big thanks in advance 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The boxed out lips measure 60mm front and 50mm back but take away the lip around the stock front wings and it would make 50mm all round . 100mm extra track width

Yes I am. I have got a few bits for it but my vlsd is at my friends in chesterfield. I've been unable to travel to collect it. I also have the mk1 bonnet in Kidderminster. Until lockdown is over the car is now at a standstill.

I have too much work to do on the car itself to make moulds too. But there are fibreglass stock front arches available now. I bought this kit from avb sports as I didn't trust unqshop

It was still parked in the same spot at dens as when I left it in 2008... when the propshaft went bang. Wow did I enjoy driving it back then. Propshaft got fixed by den but it never really got used since . Last MOT was in 2016 but it hasn't done any miles since 2012 . In fact Miliage went down by 3 miles in the history lol

For road driving would you say the vlsd is a worthwhile conversion over the standard open diff? Does the car feel more stable/balanced?

@@XPUKKAX the conversion makes it much better to drive can push the car hard in the corners and know it's more stable and holds the road better where the welded diff just kicked out all the time and when wet snapped back

I put more on Instagram as its quicker but I thought I'd do an update. It's just been small tinkering jobs here and there lately but at east the engine is now pretty much there now, front ends done apart from bodywork and a bonnet. I'm just trying to source parts to do a s14 diff conversion now. The whole car is still a wrecker but I really think i'l just pay out for a body shop to do most of it when money and c9vid allows.

You should still do the odd video . It's nice as a build history. I do it just for that. . I'm hoping the vlsd video will be useful to a few

Yup, under it's own power although I had an issue getting it back in with a rear wherl getting lift and being in the air due to uneven ground.

Nope not much more . Whole chassis is pretty solid now, only a couple of bits left. I ran out of welding gas just as I was going to do my boot hinges .

To be fair I could of thrown a match in there and it wouldn't of gone bang. The tank had absorbed so much moisture in the decade of no use , most of the fuel was water . There's a drain plug at bottom of tank too . It came out orange lol

They sure are! ..... . And sealed away forever under fibreglass wide arches , not to be seen again one of the most rotten s12s ever is becoming very very solid
