The murphy bed seems to usually add 300 lbs or so to the trailer's weight.

Nice, but I like the 2509S more. I’m probably in the minority, but I actually prefer the Murphy bed. I like that it provides additional seating, rather than just the dinette. I like the bigger bunks in the 2509. And I like how the rear cargo door allows for loading long things, like kayaks, etc.

The 2509S and 2520 are different enough that I expect they will appeal to different people for different reasons, as you described here.

We hace a 2017. We have the gas/electric fridge cant tell you how many times this has saved our food during a power outage. Worth the cost.😊

Make it a Murphy bed/couch with a TV on the wall. Make the bunks removable for a closet or anything else someone might want.

You never know if one of these are done right until you’ve had it for a year. That said, smaller and simpler is going to have fewer issues.

It looks like you could. You just wouldn’t be able to move past the front of the bed like you can currently with the 74” bed that’s there.

I get it. I am not a fan of the salesperson breathing down your neck. We’re probably the lowest pressure sales operation in the state. On Saturdays we open everything. Weekdays we open the 10 units in the front lot.

We like it but have water leaks in several areas dealer charging us to tow it to dealer and we have to stay in motel at our cost. Not impressed

I mean the price is ridiculous for what your getting you still gotta buy your own generator bring more water I drink 1 gal a day on a slow day hen to top it off your only option is cooking out side the idea of a small camper is simplistic way of life be nice to be able to cook inside the outside galley is just gunna leak what a scam😂🤣🤦🏼🤡🌎

You didn’t mention if this model has the balancing beads in the tires. I believe the Flagstaff sister equivalent RV to this one comes with the beads for the 2025 year. Do you happen to know if the balancing beads come with this model? Also, I was told by a Flagstaff rep that you can have up to 600 W Solar total on the roof and add another 400 W for solar input on the side of the unit. Is this true?

Yes, the balancing beads are on this model. The standard build has a 200W Solar Panel. There’s an option for a 2nd 200W panel. Beyond that, additional panels are added on a case by case basis. Adding a third panel should be no issue on a 25’ Mini like this one, but it is classified as a “special build” and may come with some additional cost. I will have to defer to the Flagstaff rep when it comes to the capacity of the side solar. These reps know their stuff.

The 2517S has too much counter space! Who needs all that real estate in a trailer--Emeril Lagasse maybe? Such a long/heavy trailer and yet still not a true queen? Would really like to see this floorplan but with a murphy bed (so we can have a decent comfortable seating area in addition to that nice U-shape dinette) instead of a fixed bed. Oh, and keep the tandem axle and keep it under 6,000# total weight too. Thanks for the video; keep up the great work--it's appreciated!

Thank you for doing an in-depth review on this one! I’ve been patiently wait for someone to cover this model! I think I’m sold on this one! My only concern is the hitch weight. It seems a little hitch heavy for my 2020 Tundra, but since it’s well within the overall capacities of every other spec, I think I’d be safe with a good weight distribution hitch and airbags. The G2 Tundra was built to tow, they just didn’t put heavy enough leaf springs on that beefy rear axle. 😅

The cargo carrying capacity applies to when the vehicle is being towed. For example, consider the force on the suspension as the vehicle goes over bumps. When the camper is in use the stabilizers will be down and the vehicle could handle more weight than the carrying capacity.

For many years we were at the Boston RV Show, but we have not done any shows since 2020. For the last several years the Camping World down the street from us has had an open house at the same time as the Boston Show and it brings people out to our area. This has worked out for us, so we likely will not be going to any of the winter shows in 2025.

Could you possibly show the space behind the TV when you do your walkthrough? Based on the website pictures. It looks as though the TV is in its own little cabinet. I’m wondering if there is a pair of 110V outlets and room in there for mounting an Xbox S Series in there. Do these new Mini’s have that voice command system that the new Geo Pros have, as well? I’m excited to see your walkthrough of it! Thank you!

you did not mention the whether the bottom is sealed and insulated for cold weather?

It is not sealed. Tanks are exposed. They have 12v heat pads that offer some protection from freezing, but it is absolutely a 3 season camper.

3354 pounds is good. Out here on the west coast many of the good campgrounds are up winding mountain passes (some as high up as 7,000 feet) and when you have that to deal with every pound matters.
