Unfortunately common for architects not doing due diligence on services and drainage have it on nearly every job.

Y should have been more on side rather aiming in on top of pipe otherwise great job.
@nyasconstruction22817 күн бұрын
@@andrewthomson3165 incorrect a y junction can be laid flat or vertically provided it’s not agents the flow. Also a t junction can be used but in a vertical or horizontal position I would only advise for storm water only. This does meet the current building regulations and requirements as we work closely with building control and nhbc on most sites. Originally in this video we wanted to ideally drop the new inspection chamber on to the line itself but as you can see it was two tight and not enough room so this was the next best option for the customer.
@andrewthomson316517 күн бұрын
Get what your saying but ideally you would have put it coming in side
@nyasconstruction22816 күн бұрын
@@andrewthomson3165 ideally would of put the chamber on the main line in which would of been the same footprint of the y junction on its side like you say but we never had the room and if we did have the room we would of installed a 45degree bend directly on the chamber so the end result of the direction of flow would be exactly the same in principle. Believe me the pipework will work beautifully as intended. On a new install we would have maybe configured it slightly differently I understand you but I would focus more on the faults with the utility services as they was laid terribly rather than our work. We made the best outcome of a tricky situation. Appreciate the comments and feedback and hope you can see it from our point of view 🍻

Top job! I’m currently doing a similar job on my house with an INSUduct box. My house has high floors like in your video. I was wondering if you knew of a long hockey stick available as my 90 joint is sitting only 400mm deep due to the high floor. Or is there an alternative solution to have a joint in the insulation? Cheers
@nyasconstruction22821 күн бұрын
No need for a hockey stick or a joint. We use a plumbers pipe bending spring. We insert it in to the pipe then warm it up with a gas torch then you can bend it 90* you might need to try it a few times first before you get it perfect. I should really do a video on this bend 👍

what we want to know is, most of these pipes are old style, limited fall, yet the government is screaming save water, Yet they scream install dual flush on pipes designed for full flush- , Where is the plumbing industry standing up to the health department and saying these dual flush should only be installed in new estates with greater fall in the pipes, after all is said water is cheaper than a plumber... why is the health department not scream, DO NOT USE- "FLUSHABLE" WIPES ETC
