And stepping aside from The Vampire Diaries for a second, if you think about real serial killers, almost all of them had a shitty childhood. They were abused, or neglected and got with the wrong people too early. But does that excuse the despicable things they did later on in life? Hell no! You're allowed to feel bad for the young version of them, but still HATE who they grew up to become. I hate Katherine Pierce. I feel bad for her when she was living in Bulgaria and family were killed etc, and she of course makes for a great character (far more interesting than Elena) - but she still deserved everything she got after going to hell.

The way I see it Katerina petrova and Katherine Pierce were different people Katerina petrova what’s the person who cared about people and fell in love with Elijah. Katherine Pierce was what was created after she was forced to kill herself and turn into a vampire and saw her entire family murdered and was forced to go on the run for 500 years

It's tragic, all Katherine wanted was to be loved by someone, anyone. Who knows, maybe if someone actually loved her and took the time out to help her, to be patient with her, to love her for who she was and help her become a better person, she might have been better off. She might have become a better person. Sadly, she rarely got that love that she deserved, and whenever she did, it didn't last long. It was stripped from her. The sad thing is, her and Finn had the same wish, all they wanted was to be loved, when they found someone who loved them unconditionally (Sage and Freya for Finn, Nadia for Katherine) it was both stripped from them, Katherine dying minutes after Nadia, Sage dying an hour or two after Finn. Now who's the crybaby? If this would have happened to u, u would have probably left the world! Respect both Elena and Katherine.
