How do you manage, as a camerman, to avoid showing the transom of even one of these yachts so the viewer can identify which 12 is which? How is that possible? (too difficult to go by sail number).

Kann mich noch gut erinnern, als ich als Jugendlicher (80er Jahre) zum ersten mal vom Finn Dinghi auf den Contender umsteigen durfte beu gutem Wind: es war wie Turbo dazuschalten. Für uns im Club galt der Contender damals als der "Einhand FD".

Moin Johannes! Wie Sebastian im Interview sagt, gibt es inzwischen spektakuläre Einhandjollen. Als Trapez-Singlehander wäre vor allem das Musto-Skiff zu nennen, das ja auch von einem erfahrenen Contender-Segler konstruiert wurde. Modernstes Konzept sind die foiling skiffs, wie Moth und Waszp. Dann gibt es noch den A-Cat. Hat alles seine Existenzberechtigung. Bei der Wahl der Bootsklasse solltest Du beachten und ehrlich bewerten: 1. Deine vorhandenen Segel-Skills und die Lernkurve, die Du Dir vornehmen willst. 2. Dein Budget 3. Deine technischen Skills ( wenn Du z.B. Bootsbauer mit Zugang zu Autoklaven bist, dann kannst du ggf. auch mit schmalem Budget A-Cat segeln. Das ist sonst eher schwierig) An allen drei Punkten macht der Contender Dir den Einstieg am Einfachsten, zumal Du im deutschsprachigen Raum eine große aktive und hilfsbereite Community hast. Wenn Du dann (vielleicht nach ein paar Jahren) das Gefühl haben solltest, dass der Conti Dich nicht hart genug fordert, kannst Du in eine der noch anspruchsvolleren Klassen umsteigen, aus dem Conti deine Skills mitnehmen und ggf. auch ein paar Conti-Segler wiedertreffen.

Thank you for your comment. To be precise, Moonbeam IV is a gaff cutter. A schooner by definition has at least 2 masts, with the rear one being the main mast.

The Dragon Fly 28 seems to be the perfect boat...We just purchased a 2020 Corsair 880 Sport, not sure how it compares to the Dragon Fly but it fits all of our needs.....

Wenn Monohull dann nur Pogo. Zwar nicht ganz so schnell, dafür günstiger und mehr Platz. Ein Vergleichstest zwischen Pogo 850 oder 30 und Dragonfly 28 wäre geil.

It's either a very good marketing clip, that catches the audience from the first second, or its just a very very honest great review, where you can feel the passion on the side of the boat builder and the test sailor.. Loved the video and love the boat.

You are correct. The Panasonic pro-level 2.8 zooms have inbuilt stabilisation, which plays together nicely with the camera stabilization#
