George very smart andif he'd lived to see what the elite is doing to Trump, he would have said I told you, they won't allow a man of the people, have to keep them as slaves.

George Carlin was right about many things but, here he browbeats people (probably mostly young) about them being "slaves" etc. Does anyone think that the audience walked out feeling entertained or happy ? Just remember this....he was a multimillionaire when he died and lived in a big house. The man who is cursing the "system" lived pretty well under it, but he's discouraging people and being entirely negative. Really ? In this case, he was a hypocrite who made a fortune in this "slave" society. He spews pure poison here and for what ? Not one encouraging or positive word for the audience ....who paid to listen to him rant and rave. He has spoken about a lot of things, but here he is entirely wrong. There are many people out there who are positive role models and an inspiration....seek them out and scratch this video off your list. George Carlin made his audience miserable and discouraged and then went home and counted his money. So much for being a "slave"....

It's all a matter of perception....I'm almost 74 and have had a great life. I've never been anyone's slave, I own my mind and I am a free man who is happy, content and possess true wealth. George was a funny guy when he was young but seems to have become a bitter, disillusioned, unhappy man in his later years. His humor was replaced by angry cynicism and he became a victim of his own deep thinking and view of life and the world. Understand what you can and can't control and live your life without all this anger....you have to live with yourself and a person cannot be angry and happy at the same time. And remember the words of the Roman emperor and stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius...."The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts".

Yet 99.999% of the people in that cheering crowd, a short while later, were manipulated into voting for one of the two corporate-owned parties (or rather one party state with two right wings) in the next election.

Yes, the powerful get their way. But they get things done. Small people like me, some of you, just need to go to work, invest with a good investment/retirement fund/company, not make stupid mistakes like getting a divorce, or having children out of wedlock, and we can benefit from this “system”. 🇺🇸

He was funny for most of his career but turned into a mean, intolerant whiner toward the end. I don’t take policy advice from comedians, especially those who aren’t the least bit amusing.

I’m amazed that George Carlin knew this so many years ago. However, sub the word Republican. Dems especially Biden are trying to right some wrongs visited on us. My worry is if people think both Parties are the same they won’t vote. Look at voting records and show your critical thinking skills. Vote Blue
@AllBobsAllTheTime5 күн бұрын
Carlin would mop the floor with a party apparatchik such as Slow-Joe Biden. Blue Blows - Vote Independent.
