I'm not sure what is realy going on with yor station but definitely shouldn't behave like that, my help is limited but I will try to help you. First power it up with lower voltage like 19V or less and see how it behaves, use another op-amp if you have ( those fake ones they behave differently from one to another ), play a bit with C13 and try to increase or decrease the value and see how the station it behaves, try to change to PID controll or DIRECT control and see witch one it works best, measure the temperature of the tip externaly and comparet with the temperature displayed by the station and lastly VERY IMPORTANT when you calibrate the station use an external thermometer like a multimeter or a dedicated thermometer for soldeing stations otherwise the calibration it wil not work and not only that the tip may glow red even if the station is showing a lower temperature, the calibration is made in 3 steps at 3 different temperatures and you need to measure the real temperature of the tip externaly at each step and adjust it accordincaly.

Hi, it starts to glow when calibrating I had to quickly unplug the soldering iron so that it doesn't burn, it behaves like this as soon as I put the soldering iron in the station it heats up by itself and when I type in 30 degrees it exceeds up to 300 degrees, which range is used for temperature measurement and control? Thermocouple Amplifier Maybe I have some error there?

@@user-bw5hk5nb3k there maybe multiple reasons, most related to your opamp circuit. to check if your opamp is working properly write a small arduino program to display adc values of opamp and upload it to arduino, then heat your c245 tip with other iron and see what values it is showing, values should increase as temp increase. if ii is very random or fluctuating increase c13 value to 50 to 100nf capacitor and try it will stabilize fluctuation. try to change opamp if possible (Most effective) mcp602 or sgm8552 . then check.

Hello, thanks for your help, I finally got it working, only worked stably with 24v 6amps without crashes and reboots. But now comes my slight problem, despite calibration, whether pid or direct type, the numbers easily jump back and forth back and forth back and forth e.g Set at 150 degrees It dances while 152, 153, 155, 160, 157 back and slowly down always in this area 150-160 dance areas. Would c13 with 50nf or 100nf solve the problem, without c13 a capacitor the station doesn't work at all 😥

@@user-bw5hk5nb3k i think everything is working fine now , dancing 152, 153, 155, 160, 157 for 150 degrees is normal as there is noise from opamp, it happns mostly while using pid type control.

The V4 T12 yes but that isnt working ! Red Wire = Thermocouple = P+ ? Green Wire = GND ? Blue Wire = P- ? Where is P+ and Where TC connection ? They are at the same Place at the End please is the Shematics 100% error free can u sure that ? I have try everything really everything Day 20 or more now, please help otherwise i can leave that channel, de abonnemont and buy a Working one that is really a bad situation The Resistors at the Shematics are the Same like T12 My Tip Have 2.4 Ohm c245

i think you are using your same old arduino board used for v4 T12 station. that older board saved adc values of T12 in eeprom. Clear eeprom and upload code again. As adc values of T12 tip are high arduino try to match those values and keeps on mosfet so iron get very hot but adc values for c245 are very low so it cannot be reached. So clear eeprom calibrate c245 tip.

What are you talking about?, În the schematic where is the GX12 connector, TC goes to thermocouple amplifier and the P+ goes to high side switch that controls the heater and P- is the ground ( GND ). Please fallow carefully the schematic, when the handle comes in the package ( NEW ) the wire configuration is different in the connector, you have to reconnect the wires in order to match the connections of the soldering station.

Thank you. Interesting project and implementation. But it would be more appropriate to use microcontroller with screen to implement full-fledged testing of USB type-C cables - USB type-C from 6 to 24 pins etc. For testing cables on 4 pins, you can assemble much cheaper and easier: 4 LEDs, 1 resistor, PCB, several USB connectors for testing the cable and connecting a third-party 5 V power supply.

If it worked for me it should definitely work for you as well. But sometimes electronics is hard, isn't it? I don't spend many days coding, making schematic, pcb, testing, designing the case and making the video just to show you somting that doesn't work, I don't think that in this way I will attract many subscribers. Anyways, I will try to help you out, first you have connect the handle wires correctly, red is thermocouple, blue is heater and green is ground, check if the Mini360 voltage is set correctly it should be around 7V and from arduino board you have 5V, check for short circuits and improper solder connections, use another op-amp, it is possible to have a bad op-amp, another thing is that the transistor BC337 should be soldered backwards or use 2N2222 and solder it normally, otherwise the mosfet will run very hot and the temperature of the tip will be uncontrolled and will have bad temperature readings. good luck.

Hello, thank you for your reply, if I finish this I would be the happiest person so: I don't have any short circuits, as soon as I switch on the station the numbers jump around from 300 degrees slowly down to room temperature even though there is no soldering iron on it, is that normal? My soldering tips have 2.2 ohms, does that still work? I soldered the BC337 the wrong way around like in your video, not like in the circuit diagram but like in your video Vin = 7v 5V = 5V Mosfet doesn't get hot either, but I set it to 30 degrees, it goes up like a cannon with the temperatures and then it glows. My power supply 24V, 2.71 Amp is enough? actually it should because it glowed like a cannon I don't have to change anything about it Leave the program like this and it should work? Please I am really grateful to you 😔

Unless this can do fine pitch and 0604 layout it is worthless for most modern projects. You can't even find most ICs in anything but SO or fine pitch. Especially if you are working with RF. But that is mostly limited by the spot size of the laser, and sometimes by the mechanical play in the machine.

I know how to do the copper etch part. but the software part is my problem. Minimal real explanation about software then a 1:30 ad for a laser engraver and some cleanup of paint residue.
