12 fcking years man, 12 years I abused & neglected my body, mind, heart, & soul. Nicotine had me in the deadliest chokehold for so long & I don’t know why I waited so long. But i’m 1 month sober today.. to hear people say “damn dude I never though you’d quit” to be sold out as a sure-set addict. That’s not who I am, I am Luke, I am a kind & peaceful soul. I am a adventurer & creator, I have life breathing through my soul now more than it ever had before. After 12 years, I didn’t need patches, gum, lozenges, nothing. Cold turkey quit & I haven’t looked back since. I stopped looking at the positives I thought nicotine & smoking in general gave me. Instead I took control of my fcking life & just quit. Never picked it back up & by physical, mental, & spiritual choice I never will again. Maybe flower one day again if i’m ready & have deserved the relaxation. But I promise you right now if you’re struggling with it, you can fcking do it. Put it down & never pick it back up. It took 48-72 hours & I was already full of energy again, wanting more, wanting better. If anyone is struggling with the addiction & has read this far, brother or sister you are beautiful & life is beautiful. Please give yourself a better chance, a clearer mind. It’s time to let go & grow stronger. Replace the poison with medicine. Music, working out, friends & family, an overall solid support system even if it’s only you around yourself. At the end of the day it’s only you who can put your god damn foot down & make the choice to stop. If you never physically pick it back up, how will you be able to continue letting it have control over you. The moment you leave it where it belongs, you have taken control again. Find the way & I promise you, you will never regret it. Believe in yourself like I already do sending this message out to the lost souls. Find yourself again you fcking got this ❤️
