Heaven is My Throne 1Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? Ex 24 9Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: 10And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. Rev 4:3 And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance.ps19 19 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork 🥰 💃 WWG WALKING WITH GOD 🕊️

Is it possible to kayak from the trailhead to St. Elena canyon and be back within 2 hours?
@cuz1292 жыл бұрын
Nice easy trail compared to the others we hiked last week in Big Bend. But you do get a lot of rocks in your shoes!
@andrew_mcnevin2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it’s a fun little relaxing one. What’s your favorite hike in BB?
@cuz1292 жыл бұрын
@@andrew_mcnevin Emory Peak was the hardest but the Balanced Ro ck trail had the most fun rock scrambling.
@andrew_mcnevin2 жыл бұрын
@@cuz129 yeah, Emory is on my list for the next trip. In terms of scrambling, my fave is Fern Canyon. Even though it’s a short hike, it’s actually one of my all-around favorites across all of the nationa parks.

Wow, music is powerful. Sounded like impending disaster but was instead just beautiful scenery. LoL. Thanks for the video. Nice shots.

To me the music conveys a sense of grandeur and majesty much like Big Bend… and also like Big Bend, the music has a hint of Lovecraftian horror (or in other words, fear of immensity and the incomprehensible). I think most people would’ve went for the typical--e.g. a folk or western or maybe even a Mexican-sounding song (in fact, there is a comment somewhere in the comments mentioning my music choice as "bad." I'm sure he/she would prefer something like I just mentioned). I definitely get western and Mexican vibes when I visit BB and Santa Elena Canyon; but to me those feelings play second fiddle to the overall sense of feeling tiny in the face of such size, power, and beauty. That's the feeling I was aiming for. I hope it worked.

I use to live in Odessa Texas and this was my favorite places to go. I always camped in the basin area but sometimes we kayaked the rivers and would camp on the river banks. We felt like we were in heaven. I still live in Texas but a little farther away. Great video. Very well done but just wish it was longer. 4 minutes just didn’t seem long enough. Thanks 😊
