@@MCParkDistrict I dunno, now... I keep comparing pictures of the two... It's just that the throat of the flowers of Obedient plant have lots more speckles in the pictures I look at.... but then I checked the range of Teucrium, and it doesn't seem to be in Ohio, so I defer to your ID!

@@misterpoopnose6547 no. This particular bug was just named after a scorpion because of the long like siphon it has on its abdomen that apparently looked like a scorpion. I agree I don’t agree with the name, but that is what an entomologist decided to name it. And to answer your second question, Liz and snakes are related, but are two different species.

Deceiving on the pollution fact. Yes its true, but what is also true is there presence indicates heavy levels of algae and otherwise dirty water. May not like pollutiom, but if you see them...then the water isnt safe for you to be in.

Aren’t boatmen hemipterans, not Coleopterans? They have the signature hemipteran proboscis and most online literature agrees. They don’t have any of the distinguishing coleopteran features like elytra either
