This is my nana, she loved dancing and sadly she had to stop at 98. She would dance at the winter gardens almost every week. Sadly again she passed in November and she said it was lovely to get her story out! she would of loved to tell more.

Good morning, I hope you don't mind me asking, but have any viewers memories, memorabilia etc relating to Winged World at Heysham Head? I worked there as a keeper for several years and this was an amazing place filled with rare and beautiful foreign softbilled birds.Sadly it was never appreciated by the Council, who ran it....mostly into the ground! It closed around 1979/80,and along with some old colleagues I'm doing a project to make sure that as much information survives for the future. If anyone would like to get in youch,my email is [email protected] and my number is 0161 764 7078. Many thanks.

Colin.you're a very interesting bloke.I remember Morecambe from when I was 4 years old in 1968 having a family day out in Morecambe. It was exactly like the Morecambe postcards. It was a beautiful place. The promenades were spotless, flowerbeds were colourful and vibrant and everywhere -council gardeners were full-time then but not now.The council have ruined Morecambe.

Thank you for posting this. My father lived on Ashfield avenvue when Mr Booth also lived there. He also has several photos of Mr Booth. If Mrs Booth would be interested in obtaining copies of the photos, just tell me know and I'll tell my father to send/email them on.

Hi Judith & Vic. Thrilled that you enjoyed Anne's memories of wartime Morecambe, and of course Golly's fantastic recollections of antiques and electric guitars. In case you have not noticed, we made two films of Anne's memoires. And you can watch 'Never short of a dance partner' here kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqmqhWBjraiLZ9U Enjoy. David Evans - Mi-Gen
