Thanks for your honest historical perspective. Yes, it would have been a natural reaction for the northern tribes to migrate south into Judah, and indeed, I’m sure many of them did. But that does not account for the northern tribes that were taken into captivity and exiled into Assyrian and Babylonian territories. Judah’s obedience outlasted the obedience of the northern 10 tribes. YHWH was not going to allow the northern tribes to benefit from Judah’s obedience by moving all the northern tribes south to Judah. If that was the case, Israel(10 tribes) could have just remained intact and he would not have sent the Assyrians against them. The 10 tribes being exiled into foreigns lands was a part of YHWH’s judgement on Israel. They had turned their backs on him and he turned his back on them. But of course, some of the remaining tribes fled south for refuge into Judah.

Hello sister. I don’t want to cause any stumbling blocks for anyone. Abstaining from certain foods is not a part of what we preach, it is a result of what we preach. Once we set ourselves apart and live a life pleasing to the Father, then abstaining from certain foods is “one” of the results. On the other hand, whether clean or unclean, food has become an idol in today’s society and each person who has allowed food to become a god in their life will definitely answer for it on the judgement seat.
