Hi there! Fluid Painter is compatible with your version so it should be something else. The addon must be installed as zip, and if it's installed correctly you should see it on the addons list. After that be sure it's active (check the flag). Now you should be able to it both on the sidebar panel as well as in the assets browser. Let me know! ^_^

well if i want the start of the liquid animtion wiil start from the top and go only down? insted the animtion will start from all over the curve?

Hi there! The animation follows the curve direction, that's the paint direction. The drops animation is on all the curve but you can make variations randomizing the speed and shifting. Hope it helps! ^_^

The nsfw version is lit af. Gona be real. Just got in to blender but already learned a ton just this past month including weight painting. but using this has been trial and error. Figuring out how to make stuff drip off bodies is tricky. And yes. It’s for what you think it is. NSFW art has to come from somewhere. ^^

Is it possible to do something like the fluid starts off empty, then flow out of a place and then stay there afterwards? In short, is dripping fluid possible? Edit: Oh Mode 2 does exactly what I need in the first question.

I have already purchased this amazing tool, for that _crazy_ price WHO WOULDN'T? What I was wondering about: I know from some droplet generators I have it's possible to have drops trail fluid on the surface. Is this possible, maybe in the future, with Fluid Painter as well?

I haven't been able to get the fluid to follow a cloth object. Even with the default cube and default addon settings it will stop sticking as soon as I turn the cube into cloth. Any tips to make it work?

Hi there and I'm sorry you are having troubles! Mmm strange, I just did a test with a default cube where I added a cloth modifier and then the fluid and it's working. Maye you are using a subd modifier on the cube? I handled that case but after a few test it's giving problems. Let me know, thanks!

@@Miki3dartI was able to get it to stick after turning off the NSFW fluid painter addon that was from before installing this Fluid Painter 1.3. Then I went back to my project and completely removed the subd modifier that was turned off, but was on my model. I drew the paint on, told it to stick to object, and noticed in the modifiers for the fluid itself that the FluidPainter mod disappears then is replaced with a surface deform. I noticed that the mod is not bound though, unlike when I did it to the default cube, when attempting to bind this mod on my object it says "Target has edges with more than two polygons" and then will not bind. My project model has several surface deforms and some corrective smooth mods on it.

My other comment was removed because I put a link in it or something I guess. I think the answer is that Blender and this addon may have the limitation of not being used on any model that is not watertight or has non-manifold polys. I suspect you will not be able to fix this since it's blender's limitations so I will try making a dummy model of the area that I plan the fluid to stick to. Unless you have any better recommendation. Thank you

@@gruddie5269I'm still working on the new NSFW update that's why the current version is not compatible with FP 1.3. The FP mod disappears after the sticking because it's converted to mesh to be bound to the target mesh. If you use the flag "Keep Fluid properties" just the curve is converted to mesh. Also, yea, since the surface deform method uses the surface deform modifier, is has the limitations of that modifier, and I'm already updating the manual with these and possible fixes, but unfortunately the best is having a clean mesh as much as possible.

Ottimo tool, compraro proprio oggi (ieri). Sicuramente lo userò in alcuni progetti basati su cibo o scene specifiche. Spero che continuerai ad aggiornarlo con sempre piu fluidi e cercando di ottenere un realismo sempre migliore. Una cosa che mi piacerebbe fosse possibile aggiungere è di spargere acqua o goccioline su una superficie senza per forza usare le curve, per esempio la condensa su una lattina fredda.

Hi there! It's not a bug but a limitation of the geometry node that's based on blender 3.0. In the next update it's based on 3.1 and when converting to mesh the bubbles are kept :)

Hi there! Well, fluid painter is based on blender curves so if you find a way to parent the curves to the rig... yes, it can work. Unfortunately there's not an easy way, you can hook the curve points to the rigged mesh but it would take a lot! One way it would be to generate random curves using a Geometry Node, it's one thing I'd like to try in the future. In alternative I suggest you to have a look at droplet generators addons or try making the effect via shader like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5LMmZ2AZpd3iJo

Ok its working, but , when i have Shape Keys, fluid geometry dosnt follow with them, if i have tears on face , and eyes are closing/opening, fluid mesh is still. Any idea how to make it work ? Shrinkwrap or something.

You need to transfer the shapekeys from the body mesh to the fluid mesh. There are probably scripts for that, I use the Diffeomorphic addon, it has a feature for shapekeys transfer, you should have a look! o do

Hi, i've installed correctly the addon but i don't see the option fluid painter at the panel... i have the asset library and i can import the fluid but i can't draw the fluid... how can i solve it?

Are you using the NSFW version? That version doesn't have the panel, but it's just on the commercial one (anyway you can install the NSFW version along with it). With the NSFW version, after dragging a preset to the scene, just edit the curve and select the Draw tool to paint over any 3d surface

Start and End mapping work only when you have a 3d curve, example when you activate the bevel. It doesn't work with the Fluid Geometry Node, sorry

i wanted to ask, is it possible to change the maximum and minimum size with more control? maxing the size of one control point, and minimizing the size of the second control point, i found didn't give me enough control. smallest points would be too large, or i'd decrease the total size, and the largest points would be too small. thanks!

Hi there! Unfortunately it's not possible, I needed to clamp the max and min radius value of the curve point to not get artifacts. In case you need more control I suggest to convert the curve to mesh and sculp to make thickness adjustments other the limits. Sorry for the limitation.

Hi there! It's probably because of the scale of the model, anyway the new update comes with a new scale parameter that allows you to set the base scale of the fluid and adapt it to any object size!
