My female mallard drive me crazy. If I’m working, and she doesn’t see me, all is good. She hears me? Good god, it’s loud.

I have pekings that make a sound similar to this that sounds like they are laughing at you. (3 in a row like HEEE HEEE HEEE). I'm wondering if all breeds will have the call sound like this? And with pekings there's a honk like call also. And sometimes it sounds like they are grunting. But I don't know how much of that is male versus female? Hope someone can help me understand it. Thanks.

I think them calling is there way of saying hello, not all breeds of ducks sound the same tho

The hens (females) are loud and the drakes (males) have those soft reedy notes. Pekin hens and drakes make the same as the mallard hens and drakes. There are the Rouen and Indian Runner ducks as well that make the same sounds.
