The dynamic effort day originated from Soviet Weight lifters. Isn’t it indicative of the method’s applicability to powerlifting that the Soviet and Russian powerlifters don’t use it?

We believe our job when educating Cert IV students is to give them as much context as possible, especially around the different methodologies or approaches that exist in the world of strength training. We're not trying to claim it's superior to anything else, we're just noting the success Westside has had with it's methodology in its own cohort and tying that back to a conceptual understanding of the force-velocity curve. To answer your questions specifically, assuming russian powerlifters don't lift dynamically at all, It clearly indicates that for those russian powerlifters, they don't see it as having a lot of applicability. That's obviously different for westside lifters, who clearly think it does. Our job as educators is to contextualise information for students; it's not to be dogmatic and push any one method over another. Do you feel like that's a fair assessment?

The tests in our battery are: IMTP (like a rack pull deadlift into pins), 10m sprint, counter movement jump, triple hop, isometric hip and hamstring strength, and aerobic fitness.
