2 ways to avoid persecution: (1) be so much like the world that it will love you; (2) hide in a segregated "bunker" where the world can not see you. Modern Anabaptists, please return to the street preaching of your forfathers and Apostolic faith. Leave the "bunker" of the familiar, the comfortable, and the padding of surrounding ourselves with people just like us. The City of Light can not be seen when it's hunkered down in the trenches. Jesus wasn't afraid of being contaminated by touching sinners. Trust him to be your preserver.

Well said, brother. God, help us redeem the time for the days are evil.

We are ambassadors for Christ, in a foreign land. However, just as Daniel, Ezra, Mordecai through Esther, Joseph, and Paul (who claimed Roman citizenship, who most of any knew his citizenship was in heaven). Yet so many impacted the politics around them, except Lot. Lot was indifferent in the politics of his community, and we can tell it wasn't the best for Lot, Lot's family, nor the people in his community. So biblical support for political influence of righteousness in our government far outweighs any twisted out passages for a particular people for a particular time.

I have never seen a single video from you all. I am already "Anabaptist" but trying to bring that to life, rather than intellectualize it. This spoke into SO many things, and brought context to things going on in life. In this period of testing for not just us as individuals, but as those seeking to participate in The Kingdom of God! And boy is it hot in here. Thank you for the Word of encouragment

*Summary* The early Anabaptists in 16th-century Europe risked their lives to spread their faith. They invited people to be baptized and follow Jesus, despite knowing they could face persecution, imprisonment, or even death. Being the one who poured the water in baptism was even more dangerous, as authorities actively sought out these leaders. While some of their evangelism methods are not applicable today (pulpit-stealing, illiterate evangelists), their motivations can still inspire us today. They achieved remarkable results, with some leaders baptizing thousands of people. The early mass conversions in the Book of Acts were unique circumstances that can't be replicated. They occurred in areas where Jesus had personally ministered, creating a pool of believers ready to respond. It should be noted that the results in evangelism between the beginning of Acts and the end are drastically different. The early Anabaptists also benefited from historical circumstances, including a desire for church reform, the aftermath of the Peasants' War, and an atmosphere of apocalypticism. These factors contributed to the spread of Anabaptism in their time. Comparing this historical context to today, it's important to note the significant distance individuals must traverse to become Kingdom Christians or Anabaptists. Contemporary Americans often have little religious affiliation and may not even believe in God. Thus, they need to accept the existence of God, embrace Christianity, acknowledge the authority of the Bible, recognize Jesus as the Messiah, and adopt Anabaptist teachings like non-resistance. This distance makes modern evangelism more challenging than in the past. While early Anabaptists and the Apostles had rapid success due to different circumstances, today's Christians must set realistic expectations for evangelism efforts and work diligently while staying faithful to their beliefs. Early Anabaptists emphasized the role of every member in evangelism. They shared the gospel with coworkers, employees, employers, business contacts, family, and neighbors, and this grassroots approach contributed to their success. The Hutterites, a branch of Anabaptism, were especially organized in their mission efforts, sending out evangelists regularly. Even under persecution and away from their home countries, they wrote letters to family members, urging them to repent and join the church. Several motivations fueled Anabaptist evangelism, including their belief that they were restoring the pure church, their care for the souls of others, and their love for the vision of a holy and righteous church. They saw the gospel as good news and were committed to living out its message. Ultimately, the Anabaptists understood that a glorious and righteous church would attract others, creating a positive feedback loop that contributed to their evangelistic success.

1:00:43 As an African American male and Kingdom Christian, let me give ypu some context on "Black Lives Matter" mantra. The mantra started because of unarmed blacks in America being killed by police (Eric Garner, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, etc). The point wasn't that only black lives matter, but that black lives matters as well as everyone else's. It comes from a frustration that police treat black lives with less regard than everyone else. This is not new. Numerous examples can be brought up over decades. I don't agree with the violence that you showed at the beginning of the video, but to not bring context drivIng it is not being honest. It is also important for those who don't know, to distinguish the black lives matter mantra from the BLM organization, whom I DO NOT support. Also, there is one race but many ETHNICITIES. I am a Baptist who loves Anabaptist thought, but am amazed that a strand of Christianity that has existed for 500 years is nit very diverse - at least in the US.

The song was actually written by Flo Price and recorded for her 1969 album. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZDGp5hsaZuXepI “Bright New World” was also used in the 1970 film The Cross and the Switchblade, and it was also recorded by the Ralph Carmichael Singers on their 1972 album Our Front Porch, all before Dallas Holm covered the song in 1973.

Well said. I would argue that if we're going to avoid a dependence on social media, we ought to have local, vibrant community that is accessible. If people are hard to get a hold of and are artificial, the tech community fills that need better... and that's no good.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us,in that, while we were yet sinners,Christ died for us. We are all sinners and Christ died for the sinners which is everyone he doesn’t exclude anyone. 2thessalonians 1: 7-9 “and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;” He is coming again. Isn't a legalist one who believes the rules he keeps will get him into heaven? When Jesus says to us if we love him we will keep His commandments . What Jesus said as a command is quite amazing. I made a list of his commands in Matthew and filled 10 pages of my composition book . The fist Repent, 2 Follow me 3 Rejoice when persecuted 4 Let your light shine 5 Do and teach the commandments Etc. I am not denomination oriented, but very grieved seeing so much indifference toward His commands. I see your fellowship so desirous to be obedient and it's very attractive to me. Of course it can become legalistic. God knows the heart. How can we not want to be obedient to such a wonderful, gracious, loving, powerfu,l awesome, always present, God and Father?
