Sweet man, great shots and shows the time you put into it. Stoked for my next trip down that way.

Great video. Get a mic though. It will be a lot easier to hear you commentating with all the surrounding noises in the video that your camera is picking up. (Driving sounds/wind/etc)

Thanks and definitely sound advice. I was filming everything with a go pro. Will definitely upgrade before I make another one.

Thanks! Yeah it’s a good one. The first time I did it I broke it into 5 pitches but the 3 pitch way is a lot quicker and really just as safe. I might’ve been off route a little at the beginning of the second but it goes.

great climb, but it was over before it even really gets started

True. We'd all love a few hundred feet of that fist crack at the top

Just curious, why did you use quick draws on the perma draw at the top? Is it a bad thing to clip in directly and be lowered using the perma draws?

It's usually considered best to have everyone in your party lower from your own gear except the last person, who cleans everything and lowers from the fixed gear. This way most of the wear is concentrated on your equipment (which you can monitor and replace when necessary) instead of the fixed gear (which, frequently, no one sees as their responsibility to monitor or replace). This goes double if you are having people toprope

@@MrJackowitzThat's exactly how my wife and I climb with our friends. And we donate a little bit to groups that go around inspecting and replacing bolts. 😊
