I have a pair of gourami a male 3spot blue gourami🔵 and Female opaline gourami🔵 and 1 single male bolivian ram cichlid🚩 the red flag means he's republican. he will never be bred 😊

If I remember right they sell a programmable dimmer separately but I just have mine on a regular timer.

We named our Clown Pleco Emmett (In honor of the great clown Emmett Kelly). He resides under the Shark 400 filter in our 20 long. I have seen him on the glass occasionally but that's pretty rare. He is in a tank with our Zebra Pleco, a pair of Moonlight Gourami's, some Rummy nose Tetra and some False Julii Corydora's. Pretty peaceful tank.

Enjoyed the video. I have one Bolivian in a tank with Diamond and rummy nose tetras and a few Cherry barbs. I’ve thought about adding another Bolivian, but was concerned that they might not be able to get along.

The place I ordered 2 of mine from closed down and I haven’t seen anywhere to find them since. You could try aquabid. If your fish stores have feeder tanks, check those. I found my first by accident in a feeder shrimp tank.

beautiful video! Just a small correction. 'Nijsseni' is pronounced ' Neysseni'. It was named after a Dutch explorer's last name. The vowel 'ij' is pronounced 'ey' in English :) Or actually this diphtong doesn't exist in the English languages, but 'ey' comes close to it.

The kh in this tank was usually right between soft and hard. They come from low kh waters in nature so I don’t see a problem with your kh.

They are smaller than bristlenoses how come clown plecos aren’t as popular!?

They tend to hide a lot more so people that like to see their fish are turned off of them. They also don’t eat algae as well as bristlenose plecos most the time.

They take a little longer to reach maturity than bristlenose. The hardest part was finding info because not as many people breed them.

I'm sure you have already inquired about this, but I can't help but think what kind of paludarium that 40 breeder would turn out like if you were allowed to keep it half filled. The tank size is limited to 20 gallon volume. Turning the 40 into a paludarium definitely crossed my mind before confirming the tank size. The move went great and I’ll update everyone soon. Thanks for the kind words!
