Coming back 6 years later and watching this really helps me. Everytime I feel low, everytime I feel I’m not good enough, I come and watch this. You never notice time until it’s gone so you should live your life till your last. 💜

I was about to cry... I'm confident but I didn't know how much it helped.. My dreams won't come true in a day but they can start tomorrow... I really wanna liberty with my horse and free riding... It's so freeing and rewarding... Sometimes I think horses make me feel better about myself, they don't hate on how we look how we feel they take care of you.. Tomorrow is when "I can"

This is the most amazing thing. I’ve come back to this video so many times. The first time, I was struggling to get back on after a bad fall.. my confidence was shattered and I didn’t trust the horse or myself any more. The next time was because I was told that I was done and that I wasn’t going anywhere with horses. The third time was because I had to quit riding for awhile and needed something to push me to strive. The fourth was because I was close to finally cantering and was scared.. The fifth was because I was dealing with problem horses and needed drive. Moral of the story is that it’s helpful in so many ways and can be a motivator to all people of different reasons. Whoever ends up reading this, I just want you to know that you’re doing amazing and to keep going. Progress isn’t linear. You’re going to progress and then you might backtrack. You may have complications or have to stop doing something for awhile.. but if you really want it and really are motivated, you’ll find your way back. It may be days, weeks, months or even years.. but the time will come. Know that you don’t have to be jumping Grand Prix jumps or be competing in national level rodeos to be an amazing rider. Some people were born into the sport and others had to make a path for themself. It all comes down to you and the horse.. you may not be riding Olympic level, or even know how to canter.. but you’re still an amazing rider.

When I watched this video... I cried. This just represents how hard we work to succeed, how hard we work to make it look like we are doing nothing. Even if it doesn't look like we are doing anything, doesn't mean that we are actually doing nothing. I've been told that I will never succeed, that I will never reach anything, that I will fail, that I will fall of, over, and over again. I got depressed, my mental health was terrible, and I was just sad all day every day. But then I realized, ppl who say that don't actually know anything about horses, they don't know how to ride, and they don't know how hard it is to be an equestrian. So, I ignored them, and it made all that a bit less bad. Then my foal was born, and he just made everything way better. To all the equestrians out there, don't listen to those ppl who say mean things to you, they don't even know anything about horses. Never give up on your dreams.

This really spoke to me because I just got a horse but really things just seem to be going wrong initially we were going to transfer from a lease to buy but we didn’t so I think that I may just be feeling the responsibility but I often find myself wondering why I didn’t just pick the easiest, most chill horse and this really goes with what I keep trying to remind myself; IT’S A JOURNEY NOT A RACE!

4:35 These words I felt I could relate to so much, this year after all my life of riding horses I decided to do something I've always wanted to do, barrel racing, and take my riding to another place and new learning.

Don’t believe that you have to ride crazy horses that always try and buck you off, always bolt, always rear to be a good rider. You don’t! I’ve spent years thinking any problem I had with my schoolmaster was not good enough, because of the troubles somebody else had with their crazy horse. Everyone is good enough ♥️ everyone is a good rider, no matter what ♥️♥️

Yesterday I fell of the horse I was riding and I wasn’t hurt i was completely fine and got back on but everyone was still worried when I got home my dad sat me down and said “I think you should stop and if you don’t I’ll take you out of riding cause I don’t want to see you get hurt” so I obviously had a fight with my dad disagreeing with his opinion and now watching this it’s made me cry and now I feel more determand then ever!!!

This video made me realize even though I don’t canter on a horse and barely have the trot mastered, if I believe in myself I can achieve! My friend she is way more experienced than me and when I watch her I think to myself I will never be this good bc I have one lesson a week when she has 3 a week, and has her own saddle pad(doesn’t rlly show anything) But all I know is that, if I BELIVE in myself, I can achieve anything I put my mind to even if it takes my whole life!

Heres a reminder in life of a equestrian industry.Promise me this no matter how hard you fall always get up and you stay seated in that saddle and you hold on tight for dear life and pray that you succeed. And no matter what you do dirt bike riding ect...follow this advise.

I had a rich friend who saw my crappy helmet that almost looked like a bike helmet and took it turned to my friends in class and said “ I’ll bring in my helmet so you can see what a nice helmet should look like”. She also tried to oust you riding when I’ve been riding 9 months and she’s been riding 13 years. Owns a barn in her backyard. Has 3 horses and has money 🤷♀️ my response was always silence because I know her telling me that makes me push so much harder in my lessons. She posted a video cantering bareback when I was scared to trot bareback so the next lesson I pushed myself to try trotting. I did 3 laps unbroken and without holding mane. I was so happy and proud. This video made me feel so happy ♥️

We were at a family table and I was talking to everybody about my first fall and everybody told me:why do you still do that it’s too dangerous! And to that I replied:Because everybody in this room is was too afraid to do what I am doing.I’m not gonna be like you.I am not afraid.I’m making my dreams my reality.Because I will make a change for you to see nothing is impossible.I don’t need anybody to believe in me.I can do it myself.

I am scared.. scared as hell. But you know what? I've been through hell with my horse. I've fallen, been beaten, blamed myself. You wanna know why? Because as much as I don't want to admit it.. I can do it. I may freeze up, I may make mistakes. But I can do it. It can make me feel so scared I block out everything but guess what, go for it. You only live once. Now that used to make me feel scared and still does. "You only live once" so I tried to avoid scary things. I still do. So I could keep my life. But you know what? If we don't try it, how are we gonna know it'll hurt us? If we don't try it then how are we gonna know that actually that 1 move right there could lead to success. We have fallen, cried, froze up. But guess what? We can do it. We can change our lives for good. WE CAN DO IT.

My pony lost his mane yesterday because of swedige so his hair got clipped off sadly it will hopefully grow back he is sadly hurt from all the flys Britain has had and I cant ride him cause his back is hurt by the fly scars but when he heals I will do what I can to teach myself how to ride him I will train him myself no matter if I get told to get off I will keep going but that sentence really hit me you have to trust in something and your time is limited and don’t live in someone else’s when it got to the bit where the guy was speaking good and clear his words hit me a lot with courage fear kills dreams HIT ME SOO HARD. I’m not gonna let people control me. Horse riding is probably the hardest sport as it’s soo risky to hurt yourself but you have to believe in your horse and yourself.
