Ciao from Italy! After having a wonderful integra typeR back in 1999 and always regretting to have never brought it to a track… I’ve just booked my first track session for the 17th of September. Just hope the other drivers will be as gentleman as you, Italians have the tendency to over do it when it comes to driving.😂😂😂

also your two front windows should be 100% rolled down, so if you flip they can pull you out - seriously. That's not gaslighting or anything, just the truth.

4:40 honestly, if it's your first time, you should have had an instructor riding shotgun. My events require instructors for the novice group

Glad you finally made it to the track, but running with an organization that doesn’t require point bys on straights the entire time means you should find a better group that is far more safety conscious. Also, try to learn to always keep your hands at 9-3 on the steering wheel. This quickly becomes essential if you need to recover from a spin. I would also highly recommend you do some autocrossing to learn car control under extremely safe conditions. Good luck.

I have been in the same situation with the black flags (UK) "dropping fuel or oil on track" me jumping out to check! Didn't find anything after the 3rd time i went looking for the guy that reported it. I found him "its get a haze when going down the track". I told him it will its a Diesel. "Can't be!" Apparently you can't have a 280hp Golf TDi :)

With covid restrictions doing my first trackday has been delayed a year, my biggest worry at the moment is my car has front disc & *rear drum* brakes ("warm hatch" life) so I'm worried whether the brakes will just crap the bed on the outlap let alone in a multi lap stint... it's my daily too and one that I plan to sell not too long from now so i'm not about to upgrade the entire braking system... (other than pads and fluid of course), i'll get into that when I get my mx-5 or brz :P So is it ok to do a track day on the standard brakes? I assume I should do small stints, literally one fast lap and then come in to cooldown (out-fast-in) or do I just feel it out and im not going to cause any lasting damage as long as I slow down the moment I feel the brakes start going spongy and pit to cool down for a while? (i expect somewhere in the middle is the answer so if anyone has some tips ill be greatful ^_^) it's hard to find info like this in my research as everyone just says "get a big brake kit!" but surely you can track a car with normal brakes so long as you know your limits right?...

I can think of one reason not to go to an HPDE: your "racecar" is your only daily that you need for school/work/etc and having it out of commission due to the unforeseeable would be very costly

I have a question. Is it necessary to tune the car before entering the track? As I remember how much time, effort and money I have killed to prepare my Subaru for street races, I feel bad already.

You were so right. I was building my car and had same thoughts , its not ready yet... Then I was looking for tips for my first track day, car setup, track rules and how to behave on a race track, and I came across this video of yours. All I can say is... you were so right and thank you :), you gave me confidence to go and drive. Also, doing only essential mods on your car for a first track day leaves you bunch of other mods you can try out on other track days. I had 4 track days so far, and I am keen on having more :P Its just like you said, we have nothing to prove, just drive, behave and have fun.

Hi there thanx for the video all you see is professional's with moded out cars and makes you feel like you drive a piece of shit then they have friends with even better cars and money and well known people and you feel worse so hence why I'm way to shy or even nervous to take my WRX to the track and hence why I spent the money to do just that thing but then you have KZbin " influences " just criticing you that you need money and faster and friends like them or you have no chance and a quick disclaimer be safe. But your video just showed hey it's not that hard just go and do it. But also I think the staff have no time for beginners and expect everyone to be pros. But thank you I'm going to give it a go even in my one man team and cheer leading squad which consists of me and only me. Cheers from down under Australia.

Hey good video, I wanted to know what the clunking noise was from your rear suspension? I ask because I Just installed same coil overs and only my passenger rear is making a loud clunk noise when I hit a big dip or pothole. So im curious why that is. Let me know if you figured it out. Thanks!

@@1NOHERO Hey so I took mine in to PBM shop, they ended up having to replace some of the internal valving. So something went wrong internally. I would contact Blitz and see if they have any kind of warranty .

Absolutely. This guy has terrible driving habits. Should have gone and got some instruction before going out to track. And _all_ those power mods he obsessively did should have waited until he sorted out brakes, tyres, driving skill and suspension in that order
