I think my personal favorite part about HM2 ending isn't this song, or the build up to the ending. But the fact that it shows every surviving character and what they're doing. Richter with his Mom (Headcanon is he sees the mushroom cloud) Evan with his family (Or not) Pardo preparing for a raid (that will never come) Jacket chilling in prison The Hitmans Girlfriend chilling (Or it's the actor I'm not sure) It just really hammers home Richard's point that there was nothing anyone could've done, that everyone was doomed from the start, and the only ones who were "Saved" are those who got to die before the nukes
