I did exactly this I even cooked more bacon and I guess added too much flour? Needless to say I was pissed asf. Yours looks great though. Thanks for the video I just fucked something up. No idea how bye it didn’t make a nice rue I poured the flour in and it just clumped up. Was beyond saving
@VitosFixКүн бұрын
If you add exactly how much flour I talked about on the video, you shouldn’t have any issues with it. Adding too much flour will definitely cause it to be too thick, and if you don’t mix it up well enough, it will be clumpy.

I didn’t want to chance something else failing in the near future. Also, in this scenario, I didn’t have a lot of time, had to drive 2 hours away from where I was supposed to be, so I didn’t want to waste more time (potentially) by showing up with only the one part that I knew failed. So I bought everything that could have been bad.

Want to lower my front about 1.5 inches . 2.5 with drop spindle is too low for the look i want . I just got my first bug and know nothing about them . Is there a way to lower without drop spindle ? seems all there is offered is the 2.5 drop . Plus don't i then need disc brakes then also ? Thanks

I found the torque specification for the oil relief plugs in an old original German manual. It is "gutentight"!!!😄
@VitosFixАй бұрын
🤣
@jamescandelaria4840Ай бұрын
Way too much is riding on oil pressure to simply "HOPE" that spring tension is as good as original. "You don't want it to be too much, you don't want it to be too little." What does this mean when you are trying to control oil pressure at RPM and idle? There is a spring tension specification in the Volkswagen manual under the Engine section, page 35 for Type 1 and page 30 for Type 2. Installing each of these springs should never be guess work. There is a lot of spring tension variation even among new springs. Spring tension is measured when the spring is compressed to the specified loaded length. To do this will require a scale on the drill press table. Set the depth control on the drill press to the specified spring loaded length above the scale surface. Compress the spring to the loaded length then observe and record the scale force. Install springs to your liking then observe their performance. Swap them out as necessary to adjust for desired performance. Read my technical paper titled "Measuring Oil Pressure & Oil Cooler Bypass Spring Tension" on the subject published on The Samba under Technical, Miscellaneous.

Good morning and thanks for this video! I tried making your recipe this morning and it turned out pretty good. So still a work in progress. Two questions... 1.) Upon adding the milk, the consistency turned lumpy. Should I add the milk more slowly and keep stirring? 2.) The grease/flour mixture never seemed to thicken up. Should I add more flour to thicken or is it a matter of allowing it cook longer and it will eventually thicken? Which heat setting should the grease/flour mixture be cooked at? Thanks again!
@VitosFix5 ай бұрын
Add milk slower or stir faster. Keep the same measurements, let it cook longer, or add a little more flour. Heat setting - enough to start a slow boil.
