Second time watching this movie. I had forgotten all about it, just came across it by chance. Interesting movie, give it a chance. What caught my attention and made me watch it again was that I saw that Sonny Chiba was in it. Saw him in a couple of movies many years ago.

When I was a kid in the '60s, I had a black light poster of a 'lost galleon' sailing through space! It was awesome and whenever I played Planet Caravan, I'd blast it and stare at the poster, just imagining how cool it would be to be on something like that! Until Morrow's death, I only knew of him from Combat! as Sgt. Saunders! He was always my favorite character on that show! RIP Vic, and the little kids who went with you!

Actors, in a lean period, take the next role offered....that's all there is to it really. The quality of the films might change but the color of the money doesn't......and..... Vic Morrow, who was to die, with two children actors, in an horrific accident on-set whilst filming,: 'Twilight Zone: the Movie' in 1983...RIP to Vic and the children, Myca Dinh Le and Renee Shin-Yi Chen.

Not a movie I'll watch til the end - its not a "Kalle-Film"... Eventhough I've turned it of after just a few minutes, Im grateful that people like you give people like me the chance to sometimes stumble over a forgotten/missed Masterpiece by sharing it with the world here on KZbin! Thanx for sharing 🙏 Love from Sweden 💖

You're right. This is actually the prequel of San Ku Kai we saw on TV in the 70's 😊👍 I really enjoyed that show and never missed an episode 50 years ago 🤓 Today ,it looks quite cartoonish 😂

I saw MESSAGE FROM SPACE in the summer of 1978 at the Sunset Drive-In, south of San Luis Obispo, California. It was part of a double feature, and it was paired with LASERBLAST. This was a great science fiction movie blowout, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Can you think of any other movie that had Sonny Chiba and Vic Morrow in the cast? Yeah, me neither.
