Always looking forward to your weekly podcasts on my drive home and listening to ingredient and routine deep dives in addition to all the great conversations with other experts in the field. I think it would be interesting to hear from a chemist or product formulator for Skinceuticals since they are seen as one of the leaders in the skincare industry. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Aging is not in our DNA.. Aging is a man made belief to sell products .. The entire body is electric and melanine is a great semi-conductor of electricity ... The food is full of chemicals with diferents tragets ..

I’ve been intention growing my hair out for almost 2 years now, and it’s to my waist currently, but the angles says two and 8th inch. I’m like really mad right now, because I have plans to grow it really long, past my hips and maybe to my thighs. I’m not cutting it getting grown whether my face shaped likes it or not.

Why are you so afraid of aging? You arent going to look 18 forever.

26:33 everyone can do whatever they like with their face for sure, but do you ever really need a face lift? Isn’t it more of a “want” ? Love the content and all things skin, but just a little thought from “outside” the industry

I basically do the same thing, but with the elastics. I just make at least three or four ponytails or buns, and I cleanse in between. You gotta touch your scalp ladies! I used to do it like other black women where I would just make braids or twists And then re-braid each Section after cleansing them.

Do you recommend hydraulic acid as something that you incorporate into your routine. Also, how should I work in a collagen mask to that process? I guess should I do the collagen mask before or after?
@HarrietD-ph7bw2 ай бұрын
Maybe the reason there is institutional distrust and a reliance on EWG is because there is no third party vetting for giant corporations to churn out brand new products year after year. It’s a lot like the pharmaceutical industry. We get new formulations every year which aren’t even new molecularly, just rebranded. The FDA is staffed with individuals who have come from the industries they are supposed to monitor. As a pregnant woman, I would rather trust EWG to double check ingredients than chance products that haven’t been on the market long enough to see long term effects. Your skin is the largest organ on your body, it absorbs everything into your blood stream, your endocrine system, your lymph, your internal organs. I wouldn’t treat anything you put on your skin on a daily basis with less seriousness than medications.
@SamMKKK2 ай бұрын
I hear where you’re coming from. I will say though that your skin does not “absorb everything into your bloodstream,” and I encourage you to review the science on this. Studies on pharmacokinetics have repeatedly shown us that the skin is actually pretty effective at keeping things out - including the very serums and treatments we apply hoping they’d penetrate the skin barrier.

I empathize with you on the concerns you have as a pregnant woman though.
