I quite literally feel other's wants and needs more sharply than my own. And it's hard to motivate myself at times to do things for me. So I'm rather primed to get pleasure vicariously. I do a lot to put a smile on others faces, and that helps me put one on my own. I'd worry about being vulnerable to bad sorts like that, but... my social battery holds a charge like it's a decade past the sell-by date. I suppose social anxiety is also a type of armor, if one squints a bit. But what loosens its bindings is familiarity. Being with others of the same bent, especially... who understand, and feel similarly. ^_^ I do like when I can be with such a tribe. To feel truly at home with others. But it's also nice to be someone with good motivations, low ego, and high honor... to have become someone that isn't without troubles, but is someone I am happy being.
