BAOH is an original video animation (OVA) adapted from the manga "Baoh: The Visitor" by Hirohiko Araki. In 1989, Studio Pierrot adapted the series into a 48-minute OVA distributed by Toho. The story focuses on 17-year-old Ikuro Hashizawa, who was kidnapped and turned into a Baoh, a bioweapon with superhuman strength and other abilities, by the organization Doress. He escapes with the help of Sumire, a 9-year-old psychic girl. Intro gave me a Resident Evil vibe, with a version of Tyrant, hah. And as it goes on it definitely feels like an alternate version of Umbrella and the bioweapons program. Although there's a bit more supernatural elements. I don't know if BAOH inspired Biohazard, etc; doesn't really matter. It's so cool and interesting either way. I love stuff like this. I just appreciated more that this was made in the 80s. For wherever reason, I never heard of this anime. Glad I watched it.
