Is your mirror the exact as mine? If not so you have to finde the exact part as wiring may be deferent.

If possible to find the same you can replace it if not you can leave it with no problem. It is for safety when the battery is damged so in that case there is a fire risk!!!

The noise cancelling is great for luxury cars. But, unless its broken, most people disable it because they want to put annoyingly loud subwoofers. Modern cars actually have really great and professionally tuned systems, people just dont appreciate them.

@@JupiterxBluesthis is false, the factory stereo in many vehicles is quite inferior to aftermarket systems, hence why there is a market to upgrade car audio. Any audiophile would be appalled by a Honda factory stereo system

@@mateo3388 its not false, im an audiofile myself and ive upgraded several sound systems myself, there is an aftermarket still because old cars had terribly thin paper speakers(maybe ripped and broken now) and the acoustics and materials used inside old cars were just as bad so the sound profile would be high pitched and the bass would be drowned out by engine noise and tire/wind noises. So the solution was to add louder speakers to overcome the other soundwaves the speakers had to clash with. But the trend to upgrade sound systems stuck in the same way people add coilovers to modern commuter cars. Modern speakers may still be built cheaply but modern manufacturing and materials have made it a lot better than the old speakers from 80’s cars. Plus modern car frames are stiffer so there is a lot less road noise being transfered into the cabin through the frame and better aerodynamics reduced the wind noise as well. and interior parts are bolted down firmer, giving less NVH overall that overtakes the sound system so they sound waaay better now. And now we have ANC that helps the speakers even more. Even the worst modern stock sound systems sounds just as good or better than an any old 80’s or 90’s car with a fully upgraded sound system. There are some stock sound systems that dont sound great but thats uncommon these days and are the exception, not the rule.

There is nothing to worry about. There is a fuse in series with the wires.

Mine did not have but you can buy that one. But I have installed with rear view input and a 3.4 inch display inside the mirror it was not satisfying

@@bestofmyexperience2820 Thank you for your reply! I tried installing another set of brand new batteries and played around with the thermistor placement, no change. I was considering putting the charging wires right to the batteries in series, and on the charger itself installing some BMS to charge them like that somewhat safely (but without cell balancing). the module I was thinking to use on the charger was TP5100, not sure if there would be a better option since a cell balancing module would need to be installed inside the philips ipl thing, where I don't think anything extra would fit. I know that TP5100 is not an ideal long term solution, so I am curious if you have any thoughts on this / better BMS module suggestions etc. Good day!

@@bestofmyexperience2820 I bypassed the charging side through a FDC-2S-2 3A BMS. The downside is that there wouldn't be any charging indicator. I connected both the device and it's charging plug to P connectors on the BMS, so now I can measure the voltage of the battery from it's charging port. This module fits between the batteries inside the device. I did not put back the thermistor. The charger i use is a 9v 0.6A. Good luck with yours!

Maybe. But first check if you put the switch in ON position first then check with another car and also another phone.

Positive and negative should not be connected together. Will you specify the exact time of video that you mean that.?
