A lot of the dangers of scuba comes from going deep. With that thing you never go deeper then you can resurface easily. At low depth there is no danger from surfacing to quickly, or running out of air. So most of the danger is gone, the only real problems that stay is the general danger of swimming (if you have a medical emergency while in the water it is always very dangerous, or if you resurface quickly without breathing out, you can get lung tears. So it is as safe as diving shallowly, which is much safer then diving deep.

Faisant ce métier je trouve génial votre système, bien plus léger et moins encombrant que des bouteilles avec uniquement à charger à la maison les batteries plutôt que de devoir payer un centre de plongée pour recharger sa bouteille de plongée...

This would actually be very useful for shallow water diving. It's something I would use in the lake diving in a clear water area. I've seen some clear areas in the Branson Missouri lake that I've been wanting to explore.
