Thank you for hosting this once again, Angie! I finished Destiny's Conflict today and I just *had* to hear what you guys thought immediately :) There's just too many moments and revelations packed in just the second half of this book, not even mentioning whatever I missed along the way! Hope you'll do one last stream for Song of the Mysteries, it's always fun to listen to you guys.

Finally got to watch this! Always a treat to get to watch a new discussion from you folks once I finish a book :) I agreed so much with a lot of PL Stuart's observations. SPOILERS: Once the main thrust of the book got underway, I really enjoyed this book, like you all were saying there's so many big moments it's hard to even keep track of the many many "little" ones. One that wasn't even mentioned (I think) was the reveal (?) that there are a whole bunch more living dragons, and they're just through the North Gate?? And they're basically just kept at bay by a gatekeeper dragon who might not even be stopping them anymore??? This feels like it has huge implications but it's just a few pages and then everyone moves on.

Best review of Bangalores legendary book shops because you love and know books. Many others report on these shops but the real untold story is what drives people to read in bangalore ? Found this from Janny’s FB page and went back a couple to watch from Stormed Fortress. I loved hearing the discussion. This has been my favourite series since I started reading it in 1993 when I was 15. But I have never had people to talk to about the books as I didn’t know anyone else who was reading them. It was fun to listen to you all saying things or questioning things and calling out to the screen “oh, but…”. You’re going to enjoy the reread 😊. I have reread the earlier books so many times I have lost count. But I took a big pause when Sword of the Canon came out and while I had the books preordered, I put them both aside until news of the final volume. When I finally read them I realised I must have lost my mind to have done such a thing 😂. Oh and Angie, each book took me about two weeks to read. Even when rereading. They’re books to take your time over and savour. And yes, sometimes to reread passages, especially in those “did I just read what I think I read?!” moments

But at the end of Destiny's Conflict, Lysaer is still cursed, Arithon died, but his spirit never crossed the wheel. It was not the first time Arithon had died. Curse might be dormant till Arithon regains consciousness, but the curse is still there. Lysaer will likely be free of the curse the way he intended, freed under the worse possible circumstances when he is personally responsible for Arithon's death.
@angiethebookaholic7 ай бұрын
It is a bit ambiguous at this point if the curse is there or not or if both of them are still bound to it. I am expecting a big show down between the 2 princes since it's been a while since they have met each other.

Without revealing too much, don't take too much of Don Krieg's claiming Hawkeye has a devil fruit. He might, but mostly Krieg, who likes to use deception himself, just can't believe that Hawkeye could be that strong without having a cheat like a devil fruit ability. But Krieg's inability to believe someone could be that strong naturally shouldn't be taken as absolute truth.
