Sweet Potatoes Palm oil Table salt Bouillon cube Grounded crayfish Quantity depends on your preference. But easy on the palm oil. Especially if your making a small portion of potatoes. You can always add more to get that bright orange colour but don’t pour too much at once.

Palm oil Iru (locust beans) Rodo (scotch bonnet pepper) Grounded Crayfish Ponmo (cow skin) Eja kika (smoked panla fish) Efo (green leaves/spinach) Ugwu leaves for some crunch (optional) Table salt Bouillon cube Quantity depends on your preference and budget but I spent a total of 1,800 naira to purchase the leaves,ponmo and smoked fish. I had the rest of the ingredients at home.
First Coat of frosting should be thicker in consistency to serve as a solid base for our black frosting which will be thinner in consistency. To get a black shade of frosting, one has to use a lot for food coloring which causes the frosting to be bitter in taste but this way, you would not get that bitter taste.

3. Simple Syrup: in a pot,simmer equal parts of water and white granulated sugar till the sugar dissolves completely. Once the syrup is cool, drizzle on your already baked cake layers before decorating and your cakes will be moist.

Are your cakes fully cooked when you wrap them? I noticed most people add the fat first, then the eggs and liquid. Did you do it this way to prevent the eggs from curdling from the hot water? Thanks for the video. 😊
@Fastcookwithsally4 ай бұрын
Hello, yes they are fully baked when I wrap them. For reverse creaming method,you start with dry ingredients and then mix in the wet. It’s more about creating moisture for the cake . The traditional creaming method is more about creating a spongy texture which can still be dry
@nca47944 ай бұрын
@@Fastcookwithsally I'm sorry, I meant fully cooled lol, but thank you for responding.
@Fastcookwithsally4 ай бұрын
@@nca4794 oh 😅 no they are not fully cooled. I wrap them when they are still warm (not straight out of the oven) allow it to let off some heat and then wrap it up. It makes it more moist when completely cooled

my own shawarma bread always breaks when I use it.????and becomes very dry when i try to warm it.???
@Fastcookwithsally6 ай бұрын
Sorry about that. maybe try changing the brand you use. Also, Ensure you use the bread at room temperature and not when it’s chilled or firm. When you warm the shawarma bread after rolling, it will harden and become crunchy as it should. Once you wrap it up with foil, it will warm up and become soft after a while. Hope this helps
