Why’d you turn your beacon on if you’re riding by yourself? 😂 body recovery?
@powderdawgsКүн бұрын
@@TheChriszimmer36 People know the general area I’m in incase they need to come looking. Also if someone skiing the area see’s the debris they might just come save my life. Takes 2 seconds to turn it in. Id rather have the life line. It’s a mandatory tool whether you’re by yourself or not. Same reason I carry a probe and a shovel. It’s not to dig myself out but potentially someone else.

Oh man, I hope this year you/we can find powder there. I live at the ice coast and I'm planing to go there maybe feb. Question: It is a good place to go even if you don't have backcountry experience? Like, I was in whistler in Jan and could do many of their bowls but was not really backcountry. What it takes to have full advantage of revelstoke? Maybe should I invest in do an avalanche/backcountry course there?
@powderdawgs8 күн бұрын
@@felipe2fp yeah it’s a great place to go even without backcountry experience. There is terrain for all levels at Revelstoke. none of this video is taken in the backcountry or side country. There is enough gnarly terrain in bounds where you wouldn’t even need to go out. investing in a avy course is a great idea. Avalanches can happen anywhere even at the resorts. I wouldn’t go out of bounds without all the proper equipment, training and at least one riding partner with you. Same for the side country.
