Thanks for another great reaction John! I've heard this song a dozen times now and every time I find I have difficulty maintaining my composure. These Ladies are remarkable to say the least. Everyone! Watch for The SiXsters to announce their upcoming Christmas Live feed in December. The last couple of years have been fun and they sometimes play a song or two that hasn't been released yet. Keep an Eye out for this announcement soon!

Another band that reminds me so much of the former band Girlfriend which I loved, and definitely like this one. Singer has an awesome voice. Totally agree with you a lot of it was the algorithm of social media being used by the big recording companies push a lot of stuff that wasn't good but people fell for it and popularized those bands and singers. In the beginning of the 80s we had MTV and VH1 which started off excellent by mid 80s it all went to crap when the rap scene came in, to think it all started when Run DMC did a duet with Steven Tyler and Aerosmith's song Walk this way, to me it was a horrible idea but the people got what they wanted.

Yeah. I watched that Superbowl Halftime show and figured that was the end of Aerosmith because of their departure from the purer faith but I was wrong. Wouldn't be the last time the Rock Gods would surprise me. lol

Don't know if this song is a reflection of the disparate times in the Ukraine, but one can only imagine the struggles they are facing with the war still lingering. I love their compositions and lyrics and her voice is absolutely outstanding, so much emotion and passion being conveyed. Dang she had me in tears towards the end WOW what a phenomenal song, Evening Fire and One Way are also amazing songs I was waiting to see if they were going to release a new EP or album I went ahead and bought the songs anyway

Sorry John I guess I am a bigger wuss than you because I too love this family along with Franz Rythm and a ton of Korean singers than aren't rock or metal. If you ask me South Korea has some the most amazing singers on earth but I am very particular with a few I have on my KZbin Channel especially in the trot genre. Yet, I am still a huge metal head fallen in love with the lighter side of music.

When it first came out, it had me in stitches (there was an extended version with Mai and Koga talking about their generation gap like first movie, first concert, typical hand gesture and the like). In the vid you have Oreo x 2, Hana x3, Koga x3, Tomo-Zo x3 and Mai x 2. My favourite looks are the staches (Oreo on keys and Tomo-Zo on Sax). During their lives they had a dance off between Mai and Oreo to present the generational gap within the band ... They really pulled off the 70s - there are no limits to what they can do it seems Cheers :)

What a great song. Is there anything that GS cannot play? Also you are 100% correct, not only are these women incredible musicians, they also always know how to put on an amazing performance. I know you caught that the horns and keyboardist were GS members but did you catch that the same is true for the "Supreme" backup singers and the conga player. Oreos vocals on this are astounding and Koga is all up and down that bass neck. I wish they had a video showing the making of this video, it must have been a blast.

Hey and thanks! Gacharic Spin have some real gems hidden in their catalogue, and something for everyone :D The "Gacha Supremes" could have been a smash hit in the 60s or 70s, wouldn't they? Gacha lore has it that they were almost done with the song, when Hana said some brass section would be nice - next day the arranger came back with a new arrangement... Did they play themselves? Most certainly not, though Hana... who knows what she does while we're not watching :D Btw this is one of the super rare occasions to see Hana in a dress...

I just watched this again. RC, there are very few reactors who have a clue what they’re hearing and are willing to invest the effort to flesh things out for us. I know a bit on the sound side and less on the performance side. Everything you say rings true, then you explore new things with specific examples. Your experience shows because you hear through the media to the performance itself. I hope that you can hear TW live one day. Their mix is most excellent and is at just the right level. As far as tuning goes, I think that Dany is following the path laid by Keith Richards, where her fingering is simplified by the tuning, simultaneously creating a unique sound. You can see this on live videos of the KMF songs. Cheers from Toronto.

A few rough spots. Maybe the ladies could practice up an acoustic set that they use for all of these shows that they’ll be invited to ever more often. My friend did sound for a famous performer for years. She did many lucrative private shows like this.

I’m a couple of years younger than you. At this time and through high screwell I was into Chicago and to really throw a curve Neil Diamond. Japanese hard rock bands appeal to me for the same reason. Every one of them has a unique style of music and performance.

What do I think? Wow. So many details were worked out so the song came together. Mom covering Grace Slick took some courage. Did you see the smile on the lead guitarist after she nailed the solo? It was infectious.

When they originally started they were very young. Also, they were extremely happy to assemble musicians capable of keeping up with each other. Must have been frustrating to be prodigies, wanting to find other musicians of the same caliber. We definitely benefit from their work.

Here is my top suggestion from their original lineup: "kings" kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4bXfnuClLmYl7M They were a twin-lead configuration at the time. The second lead here is Thalia Bellazecca, who is half Cuban, half Italian and has been described as rarer than a unicorn--a black, left-handed woman playing powermetal. In 2021 Bellazecca, the drummer and the bassist left because of the stress of the pandemic. They were all replaced, and then Alessia joined in late 2023.

Saw them recently in Atlanta at ProgPower. For me they were, after Lovebites, the highlight of the festival. Met them at the signing as well. Mondelli and Etro are the founders and bandleaders. Their third guitarist Alessia is new to the band and is only 18.
