3:30 I didn't know there were trailers with 3 axles in the USA. It's interesting to see something diferent from an 18-wheeler. Thanks for uploading good construction site footage.

There are trailers here with 3 axles but they are not very common where I am at in the Chicago area. I think they are more common in the NW part of the country.

There are states like Michigan when the trailer will have 8 or more total axles. Pretty much no weight limit. It varies from state to state.

It's really not underpowered, it's a finishing dozer and is doing what its supposed to.

She's a beauty wow, only worked with CAT pavers and the worst we had was a rubber tired old bastard that would spark electricity when u opened the engine hatch hahahahaha, they are good machines

Very good job. Nice and easy, straight smooth cut, don't try and get it all done in one pass. I approve. There are too many videos of scrapers trying to dig to China, with the work area all uneven, and giant windrows everywhere. Thank you.

Reminds me of my youth. I worked for my dad driving scrapers, road graders, loaders, etc. We didn't have a dozer, so we pushed the scrapers with an old 1946 road grader in reverse. That old grader could really push a scraper.

Is is needed if they milled right down to the gravel? Isn't binder all that is needed without the tack? I'm not an asphalt guy so any direction is appreciated.

It's usually called a plate compactor. It's used to compact material/base/sand.

Sometimes having it as an attachment allows quick access to material that needs to be compacted. It can be removed and the excavator can get back to using a bucket quickly.
