I had forgotten about your video and stumbled upon it again when deciding on new vanes. I have the blazer heat but the slightly lower profile with fixed blade single bevel don't seem to have quit enough restoring torque for slight form imperfections at longer distance. I have also chosen the AAE Hybrid HP vane due to it being a taller vane. My arrows also came in at 472 grains...

@@mtnaddicts ok so you don’t sharpen them new either? I haven’t bought any new montecs so I don’t know how sharp they come out of the pack. The old ones I have I’ve had for years and were not sharp out of the pack so I sharpened them. I may have to pick your brain on how to hunt elk. I’ve only hunted whitetail and small game. Where do you go?
@mtnaddictsАй бұрын
@@theeverlyboys8725 It all depends where you live and where the nearest elk country to you is. I suggest reaching out to hunting groups on Facebook and see if anyone around your region is willing to take you around. You can help them pack out meet and just try to be a sponge and learn as much as you can. Then start applying for tags. Going on a few hunts with someone experienced could save you years of gathering knowledge if you were to just do it on your own.

Thanks for the video. I love Davis and own two of their tents. I am a little surprised at the stove pipe design though. I have two stoves made by other brands and both of them go from largest on bottom incrementally to smallest on top (5" on bottom to 4" on top) I would think that it would be a matter of physics that the stove would draw better going from large to small.

I have the same Dewalt bin that I keep my 12 x 15 Davis tent in. Inside there are small hooks that are molded into the ribs. I used a random orbital sander to take these hooks off and round them over so the tent doesn't snag and tear the tent when putting it in the bin. I caught the stove jack cover flap on one and tore it at the edge. Easily fixt the tear but wish I had not done that. Love the tent!!!

If you’re referring to Elk Hunter’s, they are made with Nubuck leather and you can’t use traditional leather treatment. In fact, traditional leather treatment will ruin them. Reached out to Danner and said that most likely, the Goretex liner is faulty.
