This game was an unstable and buggy trashfire back in the day, so this new release seems accurate in that way. The price tag, however, is not appropriate for what it is, which is why it deserves the mixed reviews.

It's not that you can't kill visitors, it's that you specifically can't kill playable neighbourhood sims. I can find people online claiming that this was added in Seasons, but I can't find any patch notes that confirms this. Regardless, it's not something new that was added to this version specifically, it's been like this for around half of The Sims 2's lifespan. You can't marry the Grim Reaper, and you were never able to. You can create sims that look like him, but you can't marry him speficially. In fact it's highly advisable that you do not try to interact with him outside of his intended scope, *including* adding him to the family or marrying him. He's a universal NPC, meaning only one of him exists for all the neighbourhoods, and addding him to a family can cause corruption.

Rofl, I believe she was remembering Sims 3 - because the UI is *very* similar to Sims 2's UI. Mostly due in part because in Sims 2 the Grim Reaper is an object, not a Sim - but in Sims 3, that was changed, so that the Grim Reaper became an actual Sim vs. an interactable object. - which of course, opens up far more interactable options instead of "beg for life" and etc. Super enjoyable stream, nonetheless. I've been loving Nimi's streams.

I was playing Mario and Luigi Brothership while watching this stream, and I had just beaten the Extension Corps when Nimi's game got corrupted. It was a great stream, I was making my through Zokket Fortress while Nimi was trying to seduce the Grim Reaper, only to discover you can't romance him, even when trying to mod the game you still can't romance him. And then she went to a vampire club only to find no vampires, and on top of that, poor Nimi got scammed out of her spaghetti. Around the same time as that, I discovered a bug in Brothership where if Luigi steps on an electrified tile and gets zapped and Mario enters a doorway on the same frame, then Mario gets stuck in a black void which he can jump in but can't move, forcing me to close the game and reload it. Great stream all around.

I always had a lot more stability and performance problems with Sims 3 than Sims 2. But it seems like this Legacy version might be worse than the original!
@Neon_Neon3 күн бұрын
@@Arbaaltheundefeated Performance and stability issues? Sure! But as far as I know a sims 3 install can't be permanently bricked by an interaction between two background npcs. In sims 2, that could happen regularily if you were a fan of the night life pack.

Vampires are definitely in Sims 2, its just that Nimi did indeed Mandela Effect herself about the Grim Reaper in 2
@umphreak99993 күн бұрын
@@Haghog99 ah, gotcha. I figured it was probably a situation where multiple games blended together in her memory. Patching out the "visitors can't unalive" is bizarre to me, watching people get stuck in pools/yards/kitchens until they perish has always been one of the funniest parts of the series
