Nice process and nice finished product. Thanks for making the video and sharing it with us. But PLEASE edit out the parts where you move the camera! It made me nauseated! Thanks.

Looks beautiful i really like that. Will it take spray varnish after or would it peel off many thanks mate 👍👌👏

I've finished a few projects with spray-on products and haven't had any problem with them. Nowadays I've been trying Rubio Monocoat and that works pretty well. I'd recommend going with whatever you're comfortable using.

I just made it up myself from random bits of scrap. The idea is from 'Wooden Bowls from the Scrollsaw.'

one of your recipes your mineral oil and beeswax finishing product? if so what and your ratio. Thank you
@jahellen2 жыл бұрын
I pretty much eyeballed it, but I think it was 3 parts mineral oil to 1 part beeswax.
@pierrefortier10962 жыл бұрын
you did the finish only with beeswax?
@jahellen2 жыл бұрын
Yes, although if I were to do it again I'd melt the beeswax into hot mineral oil (1 part to 3 or thereabouts) and rub that in.

Neat! I like using the previous ring as a pattern for the next one. I assume your blades don't have pin ends so the entry hole is smaller.

The difference in the blues in the kilt probably revolves around what Rocky and Eric said about cheaper kiltmakers using super vibrant colors versus traditional colors.

I have the exact same table saw as you have. and I noticed that you are using a different miter gauge than the one that came with the saw. I have been thinking of upgrading and was just wondering what brand you bought and how you like it. Thanks for another fun video. Oh, one other question, what blade are you using on your saw? I'm going to upgrade that too.
@jahellen4 жыл бұрын
Good eye! I'm using an Incra miter gauge; I believe the model is Incra MITERV27 Miter V27 Miter Gauge. The saw blade is a thin-kerf blade that's rated for laminate cutting; it gives very good results both with- and cross-grain but needs more frequent replacing.
