I applied through Donghua University, they accepted me, sent all the information needed for my student visa. I applied for the visa, got it in 2-weeks expedited and I stayed in the university dorm:) I found out the program through my Chinese teacher at my home uni in Georgia☺️

It was great! I honestly didn’t get much attention, I’m sure it was because I was in Shanghai which is more common for foreigners to be:) I experienced no racism and the native Chinese people were very kind to me😊

Ohh did you study on a summer camp? That's so cool!! I was curious to read fashion design on your schedule. Was the summer camp expensive? Was it only for fashion designers?

Yes I did! The tuition for the camp was free because the other students and I applied and were eligible for a scholarships, with the HSK 1+ requirement. But I did spend about $3000+ for the flights, visa, and shopping money😅

It was called the Chinese Bridge Summer program and I applied through Donghua University’s website. My home uni teacher recommended me the program:)

YES! I experienced absolutely NO racism, but also I was in Shanghai where foreigners are more common than other places in China so that could be a factor. But please don’t let the fear of racism effect your wishes😊🙏🏽

So glad I got recommended this! I’m pretty sure made up my mind and almost sure to say I will be studying in Northern Europe in a couple of months for two/three weeks and hopefully will be able to do my Master’s there! Thanks much for the vlog as studying chinese was one of my first options and one of my dearest friends does so! I would be thrilled to stay for some time in the country someday! 🫶🏼
