Hey, thanks for posting! I’m still getting the Google Wallet error on the first Apple device after following all of the steps - I’ve factory reset my Sense 2 and tried all of the steps twice now. :( I’m trying on an iPhone 13. Maybe there have been some Fitbit or Apple updates since this video that prevent the fix from working?

This video was intended to be a fix for Android. At the time, only iOS devices would work with Google Wallet. The error for Android has since been corrected, but perhaps they broke iOS connectivity in subsequent updates. If it were me, I would try finding an Android device to synchronize Google Wallet. Same technique as the video, just the reversed. Good luck!

I play piano by ear, but I’m considering picking this up! Seems a good way to learn more material. Just got the quest 3 a few weeks ago, and have been using Painting VR. It’s been pretty amazing so far.

You won't be disappointed! My wife says I'm obbsessed with learning piano, and she's probably right 😂 It takes time to learn, but I find it very rewarding. Every time I play now, I find it easier and easier. PianoVision is totally awesome and worth every penny! 🎹🎶

Been using pianovison for 8 weeks now. never touched a piano before and can now play River flows in you fully with out the headset. so long as you use it as a learning tool and need "NEED" it to play every time then its amazing.

Yes, I practice with Quest/PianoVision, and then play without it. I am however using a tablet, that isn't in frame, to keep track of the notes to play. It also has midi, and acts like a song book.

In Week 16, I began practicing piano unassisted by PianoVision/Quest, as documented in a video. Although PianoVision enhances my performance, honing my skills without it has been incredibly rewarding. It’s undeniably an excellent tool for learning.

I can tell you that the quality of the instrument matters a lot. When I started, I bought the cheapest full-size piano with midi I could find, but I was not satisfied with any of them. They had non-weighted, semi-weighted, or weighted keys, but none of them felt or sounded like a real piano. I decided to invest in a Casio with hammer action weighted keys, and I’m so happy with it. It has a realistic touch and tone, and it motivates me to practice more. I play 2 hours every day and I love it. Holy shit, I can't believe that worked but it did 😂. I used an old iPhone 8 that was updated to ios16. Set up went fine and now my Sense 2 has Wallet with my Pixel 6a.

Yes, it offers a virtual piano. It's great because you can bring your quest around easily, but not so much your piano. That said, a real piano makes it feel real. It's by far my most favorite app for Quest. I've been in just about every VR experience, beginning with the Quest 1 days, and I spend 95% of my Quest 3 time using this app with a real piano. Funnily enough, my wife finally is ok with me using Quest, because I'm playing pleasant music for the home.

Yes, I have developed muscle memory for many of the chords and keys (albeit not perfect). For someone new to piano, it feels like a lot for someone to memorize 1 song (has to be over 1,000 keys), so I've been giving some thought to sheet music or an app for a tablet or phone to transition. PianoVision does offer a learning and memory function I'm experimenting with. Hoping to be able to take the Quest off in the next video.

actually crazy how much you've learnt. id recommend watching some basic piano lessons on youtube and finger placements, e.g. the number under each letter signals which finger you should be using. you should see a big improvement once you start doing that. loving the progress

Since getting Quest 3, PianoVision is far and away my most used app. Highly recommend it if you want to learn piano. I continue to be blown away by my progress daily. I'll be uploading something new soon, stay tuned!

Oh yes, and the speed at which I'm learning is accelerating too. These videos were made within the first 2 weeks of playing my first notes on Piano. I've been playing for 5 weeks now and my improvement is remarkable. I'll be posting another video shortly.

Absolute genius. Who would have thought the solution was so ridiculously easy. I got my Sense 2 about half a year ago and have been going through all the same crap as everybody else, factory resetting, reinstalling the app, contacting Fitbit customer service yadda yadda. Ultimately I gave up and got used to the fact that mobile payment is just not available to me. Now found this guide, and low and behold, finally got Google Wallet to work on my Sense 2. Didn't even have to borrow an iphone, I have one as a company phone, but it would never have occurred to me that this would be the key to the solution. Two remarks: First: yes, it is necessary to factory reset the watch. Just decoupling it from the Android device and coupling it to the iphone wasn't sufficient to make it work. Second: not all cards that are added to Google Wallet will work with the watch. I have four cards in total. Two of them work, two don't. Those two that work are also listed to be supported by Fitbit pay, while the other two aren't. So it appears that while the mobile payment app was changed from Fitbit pay to Google Wallet, the card compatibility is still restricted to what was available with Fitbit pay.

I just tried it on the latest Android apk (updated) and the something went wrong error remains. This fix is still working though, I've been using it for months with no issues.

major props for figuring this out! I haven't verified, but I'm not sure that the full factory reset is even necessary. I suspect that if you just associated the Sense 2 with an IOS device, set up Google Wallet, and then re-associated with your original Android device, you'd be good to go. I did the full reset before testing my theory though.... in any case, once set up, Google Wallet works just fine on the Sense 2 for payments. The only catch is that if you want to add a new card or make any changes, you'd have to go back to the IOS device, as launching Google Wallet from the Android fitbit app still gives the "something went wrong...." message. In other words, this IS NOT a fix for the problem with the Android fitbit app... that's still busted as sh*t thanks to Google/Fitbit's incompetence.... but the workaround in the video allows you to use the watch with Google Wallet in spite of the Android bug.

Any changes to the Fitbit APK for Android would need to be approved by Fitbit, and so this was the best I could do without their permission for the purpose of distribution.

If it's not working on iOS, I suggest trying to connect it using Android and then swapping back to iOS. That said, I have not tried it, as I did not experience this problem on iOS.

I have not been able to do so. You can, however, bring your data with you, but it requires migrating away from the Fitbit app. I will be releasing a video on how to do this soon. Stay tuned.
