Just got this 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it! It’s a gem! At some point I’ll upgrade the handle bars and brakes. It is an awesome bike. I went for 3:30 / 5200 feet of climbing and had 25% battery left. I don’t touch turbo or trail - as eco is plenty for me - even on 20 / 30 percent inclines - I do them on my analogue bikes - so - I’m sure as hell not going to go to trail or turbo - but I use the ebike for adventure rides and recovery rides. Not my mainstay - I’m still young’n at 57. Maybe when I hit 70, I’ll use it more frequently.

This V10 looks so slim, that I bet next V11 will be just a pipe :D. If I will ever afford a V10 it will stay like a statue in the middle of living room. Same as rich people keep their luxury cars in the garage and from time to time go in garage to touch cars wheels :D

Another great video. I got this exact bike 3 weeks ago. (Black frame). It's awesome. I was looking my 1st ebike and was going to easily spend 12k USD. There's a few parts I'll upgrade when they wear out. It's an awesome bike at a good price.

I don’t understand it has to be a reason. Why so many of these companies use DOT fluid. I know that it’s peak boiling pointer whatever is higher than mineral oil, but it never stays at the boiling point.

Thinking of buying a 2025 SC 5010 , I own an earlier 2020 SC 5010 27.5 and love it , suits shorter riders IMO . Is the new 5010 have the same new VVP suspension you talk about on the Branson and the Hightower ?

2 questions. How do you find the extra wheelbase, do the bikes still corner well for trail bikes or feel more enduro and not as suited to single track? How do you find the high stack, can you still get plenty of weight onto the front wheel (I love high stack but just curious)?

I’ve got the 2021 Trance 29 2 and honestly I’d describe it exactly the same way as you’ve described this one. It’s my first full sus bike and I’ve had it for 3 years now. I’ve been lucky enough to get to sample a lot of different full sus bikes long term through work, a couple of 150mm travel bikes and a 170mm enduro machine and as good as they’ve been (both generations of Specialized Levo and the current Specialized Enduro) I’ve always fallen back in love with the Trance after a ride on it. It’s seen a few iterations over the years as I’ve experimented with it. From stock I found it used its travel a little too freely so I’ve maxed out the volume spacers in the shock and the fork to make it much more progressive as I love to jump and wanted it to feel more poppy off steeper lips and have more support on landing bigger jumps and drops. It still retains a good amount of its small bump absorption though and that’s with 20% sag on the fork and around 15% sag on the shock. It’s also had a set of 27.5 wheels on it for the last year which have made it really come alive on tight, twisty sections. I will be throwing the 29er wheels back on soon though as I do miss the added rollover capability of those on rougher bits. In total I’ve set it up 4 different ways. Fully stock initially. Then as a 29er singlespeed with a rear brake only and really stiff suspension. Then 27.5 singlespeed and rear brake only again with really stiff suspension as I went through a jib bike phase with it while I was riding the other bikes I got to try through work. And currently it’s still 27.5 but with both brakes and 12 speed again which is where I’m finding the limitations of the smaller wheels on such a short travel bike as it’s noticeably slower through rough sections which I’m now able to hit harder and with more confidence having 2 brakes again and I’m having to work harder to maintain that speed. Although I do love how easy it is to throw around on the smaller wheels, I’ve actually forgotten what it felt like as a 29er. I only remember I used to buzz my arse off the rear tyre occasionally if I’d committed to a bigger jump without enough speed coming in to it and had to really pull hard to get over it.
